The most important game in the last round took place in Frankivsk between second ranked Elizabeth-Basket (8-6) and sixth ranked Frankivsk-Hal. (1-10) on Saturday night. Elizabeth-Basket was defeated by Frankivsk-Hal. in a tough game on the road 72-80. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 40-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for guard Katerina Polyanychka (178-90) who led her team to a victory with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Olga Chernenko contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International swingman Alina Iagupova (186-92, agency: LBM Management) replied with 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists for Elizabeth-Basket. Frankivsk-Hal. maintains sixth position with 1-10 record. Elizabeth-Basket at the other side dropped to the third place with six games lost. Frankivsk-Hal. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Elizabeth-Basket will play on the road against the league's leader Dynamo in Kyiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Bar Regina-B. (6-5) against fourth ranked Tim-Scuf (8-4) on Saturday night. Host Bar Regina-B. was defeated by Tim-Scuf in Bar 81-65. Worth to mention a great performance of center Miriam Uro-Nilie (190-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Krystyna Matsko who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Victoria Suzyk (190-88) with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Bar Regina-B. at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Tim-Scuf will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bar Regina-B. will play on the road against Interkhim (#5) in Odessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Higher League top team - Dynamo (10-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Interkhim (4-8) in Kyiv 78-69. The best player for the winners was Juanita Ward who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Dynamo maintains first position with 10-4 record. Interkhim lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Dynamo's next round opponent will be Elizabeth-Basket (#3) in Kirovograd, which may be the game of the day. Interkhim will play at home against Bar Regina-B. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a good game for Kimberly Williams who led her team to a victory with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Dynamo maintains first position with 10-4 record. Interkhim lost third consecutive game. No shocking result in a game when second ranked Elizabeth-Basket (8-6) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Frankivsk-Hal. (1-10) 108-70 on Sunday. The game without a history. Elizabeth-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Frankivsk-Hal.'s 44. It was a good game for international swingman Alina Iagupova (186-92, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with 45 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. The former international power forward Olena Zherzherunova (191-78, agency: LBM Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Elizabeth-Basket players scored in double figures. Olga Chernenko replied with 25 points and 5 rebounds and guard Katerina Polyanychka (178-90) added 17 points in the effort for Frankivsk-Hal.Despite that victory Elizabeth-Basket went down to third position due to points difference. Frankivsk-Hal. lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Elizabeth-Basket will face league's leader Dynamo in Kyiv in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.

Higher League top team - Dynamo (10-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Interkhim (4-8) in Kyiv 78-69. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-17. But Interkhim won second period 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 29 personal fouls committed by Interkhim helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, and even winless team recording their first victory.
