International swingman Alina Iagupova (186-G/F-92, agency: LBM Management) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Elizabeth-Basket, receiving a Eurobasket.com Higher League Player of the Week award for round 13. The 20-year old player was the main contributor (38 points, seven rebounds and five assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Bar Regina-B. (#5, 6-8) with 37-point margin 96-59. Elizabeth-Basket is placed at 2nd position in Ukrainian Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Elizabeth-Basket will need more victories to improve their 9-6 record. In the team's last game Iagupova had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Elizabeth-Basket's top player in her first season with the team. Alina Iagupova has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.2ppg. Iagupova is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 7.5rpg), assists (2nd best: 4.9apg) and averages impressive 2.7spg and 57.8% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 38-year old American Kimberly Williams (168-G-74, agency: Merit Sports) of league's leader Dynamo. Williams had a very good evening with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she lead Dynamo to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Frankivsk-Hal. (#6, 1-11) 104-76. Of course Dynamo still keep the league's top spot. Her team has currently 11-4 record. Williams is a newcomer at Dynamo, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.3ppg (#6). Her other stats are also decent: 5.2rpg and 3.1apg.
Third on the list of top players last round was guard Alisa Siromatnikova (165-G-87) of Interkhim (#4). Siromatnikova scored 22 points and passed five assists. The chances of Interkhim ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Siromatnikova could help Interkhim to bring them higher in the standings. Siromatnikova has a very solid season. In 14 games in Ukraine she scored 9.9ppg.
