What a coincidence that all visitors won their games.

Higher League top team - Musson (18-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked BC-93 Pulsar (8-10) in Rovno 84-56. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC-93 Pulsar. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 56-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Musson dominated on the defensive end, holding BC-93 Pulsar to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded BC-93 Pulsar 42-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Russian center Dmitri Lipovtsev (207-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Russian guard Roman Legonkov (201-89) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Musson's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Ilya Shemosyuk (188-85) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds for BC-93 Pulsar. Newly promoted Musson maintains first place with 18-2 record. BC-93 Pulsar at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Musson are looking forward to face Koksokh-Stal (#7) in Alchevsk in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. BC-93 Pulsar will play on the road against VolinBasket in Lutsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Ternopil-TNEU is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to third ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik (13-3) 103-84. Forward Anton Rochnyak (206-91) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals for the winners and Anton Mikhaylov chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was center Sergyi Teleshko (209-92) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Ternopil-TNEU's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Avantazh-Politekhnik have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 13-3 record having nine points less than leader Musson. Ternopil-TNEU at the other side still closes the standings. Avantazh-Politekhnik will play against Tornado (#4) in Odessa in the next round. Ternopil-TNEU will play on the road against BK Kremen (#9) in Kremenchuk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Kirovograd was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Tornado (10-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Kirovograd (6-14). Tornado managed to secure a 6-point victory 72-66 on Sunday. Sergey Lapenko nailed 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Tornado's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Davit Maisuradze came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Kirovograd in the defeat. Tornado maintains fourth place with 10-8 record. Loser Kirovograd keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Tornado will meet at home higher ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kirovograd will have a break next round.


Pulsar - Musson 56-84

Tornado's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Georgian power forward Davit Maisuradze (205-90) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Oleksandr Pidiprigora (200-85) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Kirovograd in the defeat. Four Kirovograd players scored in double figures. Tornado maintains fourth place with 10-8 record. Loser Kirovograd keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. SK Cherkasy Monkeys (Superleague) tabbed 23-year old American forward Mike Best (208-98kg-93). He just graduated from Cal-Irvine (NCAA). Best has played there for the last five years. Calvin Godfrey (206-F-90, college: Memphis) is a newcomer of Budivelnyk Kyiv, for a tryout first. He already showed himself in a friendly game against "Zolotyj Vik", where he made 8 pts + 4 reb + 3 as. A 26-years old foward comes from Memphis NCAA, where he was trasnferred for the opportunity to play on a bigger stage.
