Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ukrainian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international power forward Serhiy Lishchuk (210-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. He could not help Valencia Basket (12-8) in their last game. Despite Lishchuk's very good performance Valencia Basket lost 75-79 on the road to the second-ranked Caja Laboral. He was the top scorer with 15 points. Lishchuk also added 6 rebounds in 24 minutes on the court. It was Valencia Basket's fourth consecutive loss in a row. It's Lishchuk's fourth season with the team. This year he averages: 6.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 2FGP: 54.8% in the 15 games he played so far. Lishchuk played for the Ukrainian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former University international forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87, currently plays in Belarus). Khodov was the major contributor in a Sozh Gomel's victory against the closely-ranked Rubon (9-10) 77-69 in the Belarusian Premier League on Friday night. He recorded 20 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 32 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Sozh Gomel (14-5) is placed second in the Premier League. Khodov has relatively good stats this year: 12.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 37.0%, 3FGP: 32.5% and FT: 76.5% in the seven games. He played for the Ukrainian university national team in 2011.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was U20 international center Alex Len (216-93, currently plays college basketball in the States). Len led Maryland to an easy victory against the Wake Forest University (4-6) crushing them 86-60 in the NCAA last Saturday. He scored 12 points, had 9 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 3 shots in 23 minutes. The University of Maryland has 5-5 conference record this season. Len is currently seventh on the list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (fourth place). He has very reliable stats this year: 11.8ppg, 10.1rpg, 2.7apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 56.5%(65-115), 3FGP: 30.3% and FT: 76.8% in the 18 games. Len is also a member of the Ukrainian U20 national team.

Center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Detroit Pistons (20-32) in their game against the Brooklyn Nets (29-21) in the NBA. He scored only 4 points. The Detroit Pistons were edged 93-90 in Brooklyn by the Nets. It's Kravtsov's first season with the team. This year Kravtsov averages just 2.1ppg. He is also Ukrainian national team player.

Former U20 international forward Vladyslav Kondratyev (203-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Monmouth University (3-8) 77-62 in the NCAA last Saturday. He scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Bryant University has quite an impressive 9-2 conference record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Kondratyev is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Bryant's roster. Kondratyev's overall stats this season are: 7.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.5apg and 1.6spg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

   #6. Point guard Vitaly Boyko (183-82, currently plays in Russia) led Volgograd to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Severstal (4-15) crushing them 83-56 in the Russian Superleague (second division) on Saturday night. Boyko scored 20 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 33 minutes. Krasnie Oktebr Volgograd (5-11) is placed 12th in the Superleague. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. Boyko is currently sixth on the list of top scorers with 15.7ppg. This year his other stats are: 5.3rpg, 3.5apg and 1.1spg in the 14 games. Boyko is a former international player as he played for the Ukrainian senior team seven years ago.

   #7. Former U20 international forward Andriy Novikov (200-89, currently plays in Belarus) managed to help BK Grodno-93 in a victory against the fifth-ranked Impuls BGUIR (8-11) crushing them 92-66 in the Belarusian Premier League last Tuesday. Novikov scored 5 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes. BK Grodno-93 (18-0) is placed first in the Premier League. So far his team won all eighteen games in the Regular Season. This year Novikov's overall stats are: 2.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.5apg in the two games. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team four years ago.

Forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91, currently plays in Belarus) led Svisloch to a victory against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (8-11) 74-69 in the Belarusian Premier League on Friday night. Konate recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 15 rebounds. He also added and 6 steals. BK Svisloch Osipovichi (6-13) is placed sixth in the Premier League. Konate has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.3ppg, 10.9rpg and 3.4spg. Konate used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2010.

   #9. Former U20 international guard Maksym Ozhegov (190-90, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Dmytro Khodov. But that was another game of his team in Belarusian Premier League which we would like to mention. Ozhegov contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (8-11) crushing them 92-63. He scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 16 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Sozh Gomel (14-5) is placed second in the Premier League. This year Ozhegov's total stats are: 4.0ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.4apg in the seven games. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

Guard Pavel Agapov (198-79, currently plays in Russia) contributed to a 3-point Ataman's victory against the 13th-ranked Sojuz Zaretchny (4-15) 75-72 in the Russian Superleague (second division) on Saturday night. He scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 31 minutes. Ataman Rostov (13-6) is placed fourth in the Superleague. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Agapov has averaged so far 6.3ppg and 3.1rpg in the 15 games. He is a former university international player as ten years ago he still played for the Ukrainian national team.

   #11. International point guard Klym Artamonov (183-93, currently plays in Baltic League) contributed to a 1-point Siauliai's victory against the closely-ranked Valmiera 82-81 in the Baltic League last Friday. Artamonov scored only 1 points in 6 minutes on the court. Artamonov has averaged so far 3.8ppg, 2.1rpg and 3.2apg in the 14 games. He plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

   #12. Former U20 international center Olexandr Berhin (205-85, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Vitaly Boyko and both played together in the last Russian Superleague game. Berhin contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Severstal crushing them 83-56. He scored 5 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 28 minutes. Berhin has averaged so far 9.5ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.3apg in the 15 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2005.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Rinalds Sirsnins (186-PG-85, currently plays in Latvia), who plays in the Latvian LBL could not help Jekabpils (13-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Jekabpils was defeated 95-88 at home by the lower-ranked Liepaja (#9). Sirsnins was the top scorer with 27 points. He also added 7 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 3 balls. It's Sirsnins' first season with the team. Sirsnins is ranked sixth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best passers (first place). He has very reliable stats this season: 14.3ppg, 5.1rpg, 6.3apg and 1.6spg.

   #2. Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83, currently plays in Belarus) led Sozh Gomel to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (8-11) crushing them 92-63 in the Belarusian Premier League in Tuesday night's game. Dadukin recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 15 rebounds. He also added and 4 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Sozh Gomel (14-5) is placed second in the Premier League. Dadukin is currently second on the list of best rebounders. He has very reliable stats this season: 11.8ppg, 10.1rpg, 2.7apg and 2.0spg.

   #3. Ivan Kaliayev (201-F-87, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Dadukin. But that was another game of his team in Belarusian Premier League which we would like to mention. Kaliayev contributed to a Sozh Gomel's victory against the closely-ranked Rubon (9-10) 77-69. He recorded 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 23 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Sozh Gomel (14-5) is placed second in the Premier League. This year Kaliayev's overall stats are: 7.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.5apg and 1.6spg in the 19 games he played so far.

   #4. Igor Nesterenko (201-C/F-90, currently plays in Israel), who plays in the Israeli National League (second division) was not able to help Elitzur Yavne (11-5) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance Elitzur Yavne was edged 102-100 on the road by the lower-ranked Hapoel Kazrin (#8). Nesterenko recorded 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. This season Nesterenko has relatively solid stats: 10.8ppg and 5.9rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Israeli. Despite Nesterenko's Ukrainian passport, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ukrainian team.

   #5. Nikola Polyulyak (192-G-90, currently plays in Belarus) led Svisloch to a victory against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (8-11) 74-69 in the Belarusian Premier League last Friday. Polyulyak recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. BK Svisloch Osipovichi (6-13) is placed sixth in the Premier League. This season Polyulyak has relatively solid stats: 12.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 6.6apg and 1.3spg.

   #6. Experienced Maksym Shtein (206-C-80, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany) helped Weissenhorn Youngstars win their game against the ninth-ranked Hanau 91-78 in the German ProB (third division) in Sunday night's game. Shtein scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Shtein has averaged so far 7.6ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.6apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and German.

   #7. Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Dadukin. He played also in the last Belarusian Premier League game facing Ivan Kaliayev (above) in the other team. Miakinin managed to help BK Sozh Gomel to win against the closely-ranked Rubon 77-69. He recorded only 4 points. Miakinin is ranked third on the list of the top scorers in the league. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Miakinin averages: 16.3ppg and 5.1rpg.

   #8. Dmitro Gerasymenko (199-F-78, currently plays in Russia) helped Volgograd win their game against one of league's weakest teams Severstal crushing them 83-56 in the Russian Superleague (second division) last Saturday. Gerasymenko scored only 2 points. He has averaged so far 3.5ppg and 2.1rpg.

SK Cherkasy Monkeys (Superleague) signed experienced 34-year old Russian-Nigerian center Aleksey Adediran (202-110kg-82, college: Binghamton). He played last season at Energy Invest Rustavi in Georgia Superleague. In 6 games he had just 2.5ppg and 1.2rpg. BC Kremen Kremenchuk (Superleague) confirmed in their roster American point guard Rob Woodson (180-84kg, college: Grand Valley State). He played there last season. Woodson's team made it to the Superleague Semifinals. He was voted All-GLIAC 2nd Team in 2014 at his college time. Woodson is quite experienced player. SK Cherkasy Monkeys (Superleague) tabbed 23-year old American forward Mike Best (208-98kg-93). He just graduated from Cal-Irvine (NCAA). Best has played there for the last five years. In 38 games he averaged 9.8ppg and 5.1rpg last season. Best helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team.
