Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Ukrainians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Olexandra Kurasova (186-86, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Spain. She could not help Rivas Ecopolis (6-6) in their last game. Despite Kurasova's very good performance the fourth-placed Rivas Ecopolis lost 61-72 at home to the leading Spartak Vidnoye in the group A of Euroleague. She was the top scorer with 16 points. Kurasova also added 8 rebounds in 30 minutes on the court. Her team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Kurasova's first season with the team. Kurasova has relatively good stats this year: 14.7ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 50.5%, 3FGP: 43.8% and FT: 92.3%(24-26) in the 12 games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Bulgaria), who plays in the Bulgarian NBL. Dubrovina was not able to help Neftochimic (17-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her very good performance the league leader Neftochimic was defeated 84-80 on the road by the lower-ranked Haskovo 2012 (#3). Dubrovina was the second best scorer with 16 points. She also added 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Dubrovina belongs to league's best passers (ranked #2) and also on the list of most steals (third place). She has very reliable stats this season: 14.3ppg, 4.1rpg, 5.4apg, 2.2spg, 2FGP: 47.1%, 3FGP: 32.8% and FT: 83.9%. Dubrovina played for the Ukrainian national team in 2011.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Katerina Dorogobuzova (190-90, also represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Hungary). She led Bacsbasket to a victory over the fourth-ranked Cegledi EKK (9-14) crushing them 84-60 in the Hungarian A Division on Tuesday night. Dorogobuzova was MVP of the game. She scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 31 minutes. Bacsbasket Kft. Baja (20-4) is placed first in Places 9-14 group. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Dorogobuzova is currently fourth on the list of top scorers with 15.1ppg. This year her other stats are: 5.2rpg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 52.5%, 3FGP: 41.3% and FT: 71.0% in the 21 games. Dorogobuzova played for the Ukrainian national team two years ago.

   #4. Power forward Olesia Malashenko (189-91, another player represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in France was not able to secure a victory for Arras (2-10) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite her good performance Arras (#7) was badly defeated 89-71 in Orenburg by the higher-ranked Nadezhda (#3) in the group B of Euroleague. Malashenko scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Regular Season already ended in the Euroleague. This season Malashenko has relatively solid stats: 10.4ppg and 3.8rpg. She used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2010.

   #5. International swingman Olena Samburska (172-89, another player represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Bulgaria) was the major contributor in a 1-point Montana 2003's victory against the league outsider Beroe (6-10) 61-60 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. Samburska scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 37 minutes. Montana 2003 (8-10) is placed fifth in the NBL. Samburska has reliable stats this year: 12.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.3apg and 1.5spg in the six games. She plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

Center Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-81, currently plays in Belarus) contributed to a Olimpia GrGAU's victory against the second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (12-3) 68-54 in the Belarusian Premier League last Saturday. Alyoshkina recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds. She also added and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group A. SBK Olimpia Grodno (14-1) is placed first. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Alyoshkina is the league's best rebounder. This season she has very good stats: 12.6ppg, 10.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg. Alyoshkina is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster.

Former international forward Olga Maznichenko (187-91, another player represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Pall.Pozzuoli (3-10) in their game against Cagliari CUS (2-12) in the Italian A1, despite her good performance on Sunday night. She recorded 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 36 minutes. But Pall.Pozzuoli was badly defeated 78-60 in Cagliari by the one of league's weakest teams (#10) Cagliari CUS. Maznichenko is currently ninth on the list of top scorers with 13.0ppg. This year her other stats are: 7.0rpg, 1.1apg and 1.5spg in the eight games. Maznichenko used to play for the Ukrainian national team two years ago.

   #8. Center Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-89, currently plays in Belarus) helped Gorizont win their game against the fourth-ranked Sozh Gomel (5-10) 73-60 in the Belarusian Premier League on Saturday night. She scored 8 points, had 17 rebounds and dished 3 assists. BK Gorizont Minsk (10-5) is placed third in Group A. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be important. Khomenchuk belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #2. Her overall stats this season are: 9.3ppg, 10.3rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg. Khomenchuk used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2011.

   #9. Former U20 international center Alina Iordan (190-88, currently plays in Belarus) faced previously mentioned Lyubov Alyoshkina in the Belarusian Premier League last game. Iordan couldn't help Tsmoki-Minsk (12-3) in their game against Olimpia GrGAU (14-1). She scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes. Tsmoki-Minsk (#2) lost 54-68 on their home court in Minsk to the leading Olimpia GrGAU in the Group A. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. This year Iordan's overall stats are: 9.4ppg and 7.1rpg in the 15 games. She used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team five years ago.

   #10. Center Anna Kiriyenko (190-93, currently plays in Belarus) faced previously mentioned Aleksandra Khomenchuk in the Belarusian Premier League last game. Kiriyenko couldn't help Sozh Gomel (14-5) in their game against Gorizont (10-5), despite her good performance on Saturday night. She was the second best scorer with 12 points. Kiriyenko also added 6 rebounds (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line) in a mere 18 minutes. But Sozh Gomel (#2) lost 60-73 on their home court in Gomel to the lower-ranked (#3) Gorizont in the Group A. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. Kiriyenko is currently fifth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (third place). She has very solid stats this year: 14.5ppg, 9.3rpg and 1.3apg in the 15 games. Kiriyenko is U20 international player who is currently on the Ukrainian National Team roster.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Yuliya Andreyeva (188-SF-83, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Nantes Reze (9-10) to beat Mondeville (8-11). Andreyeva recorded 8 points in 25 minutes. Nantes Reze was edged 68-66 on the road by the lower-ranked (#8) Mondeville. It was Nantes Reze's third consecutive loss in a row. Andreyeva has been at the team for eight years. This season her overall stats are: 5.2ppg and 2.0rpg in the 19 games she played so far. Andreyeva has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and French.

   #2. Anna Sokolan (178-G-84, currently plays in Bulgaria) was not able to help Neftochimic (17-1) in their game against Haskovo 2012 (9-9) in the Bulgarian NBL. She scored 8 points. The league leader Neftochimic was defeated 84-80 in Haskovo by the lower-ranked 2012 (#3). It was Neftochimic's first loss after seventeen consecutive victories. Sokolan is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her seventh year in Neftochimic's roster. Sokolan's overall stats this season are: 9.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.9apg. She is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #3. Katia Levitsky (190-PF-85, agency: Data Plus Group, college: Villanova, currently plays in Israel) managed to help Elitzur Ramla to win against the seventh-ranked Elitzur Holon (6-9) 69-65 in the Israeli D1 in Monday night's game. She scored only 4 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Elitzur Ramla (11-5) is placed second in the D1. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Levitsky belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #4. Her overall stats this season are: 9.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3bpg. Levitsky has both Ukrainian and Israeli nationalities.

   #4. Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Belarus) contributed to a Olimpia GrGAU's victory against the second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (12-3) 68-54 in the Belarusian Premier League last Saturday. She scored 8 points, had 9 boards, passed 3 assists and added 6 steals in 30 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group A. SBK Olimpia Grodno (14-1) is placed first. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Shapochkina is currently eighth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of most steals (second place). She has very solid stats this year: 13.4ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.1apg and 2.9spg in the 14 games. Shapochkina also holds two passports: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #5. Elena Staschuk (192-C-85, currently plays in Belarus), who plays in the Belarusian Premier League was not able to secure a victory for Sozh Gomel (14-5) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Staschuk's very good performance Sozh Gomel (#2) was defeated 73-60 at home by the lower-ranked Gorizont (#3) in the Group A. She was the top scorer with 17 points. Staschuk also added 7 rebounds. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. Staschuk has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 18.8ppg, 9.5rpg and 1.2spg.

21-year old power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-F/C-95) had a very impressive game in the last round for Blyskavky and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10. She had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while her team outclassed DVUFK (#8, 1-13) with 37-point margin 74-37. Blyskavky is placed at 5th position in Ukrainian Superleague. Eighth-ranked DVUFK (1-13) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Suzirja (7-4) in Dnepropetrovsk on Saturday. The visitors from Rivne managed to secure only three-point victory 55-52. However their fans expected much easier game. DVUFK cut a 14-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game.
