Lysenko is back at BK Frankivsk-Halichina - Feb 14, 2013

BK Frankivsk-Halichina (Higher League) added to their roster 20-year old Ukrainian forward Tetyana Lysenko (180-93). It is actually her comeback to Frankivsk as she played here before. Lysenko supposed to play at Sozh Gomel in Belarusian Premier League. In 9 games this season she had 6.8ppg and 5.0rpg. The last season she played at BK Frankivsk-Halichina. In 23 Higher League games last year she recorded 3.5ppg and 2.3rpg. She helped them to make it to the semifinals. Lysenko also played 7 games in Baltic League where she recorded just 1.4ppg and 1.9rpg. She represented Ukraine at the 3x3 Women Youth Olympic Games in Italy two years ago. Her stats at that event were 6 games: 0.5ppg.

Talented International Power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-F/C-95) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Blyskavky and that's her to receive a Player of the Week award for round 3. The 21-year old power forward had a double-double of 21 points and eighteen rebounds, while her team beat Tavriyska Zivka (#8, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 64-50. Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Ukrainians who are currently playing abroad. This week's number one is an international guard Olena Samburska (173-89). Superleague Round 3: Leader Tim-Scuf loses to Avangard - 3 days ago

Tim-Scuf (3-1) recorded a loss in Kyiv on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Avangard (2-1) 84-60. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Avangard held Tim-Scuf to an opponent 24.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.6 percent accuracy of the winners.
