The Regular Season in Superleague is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 10 rounds.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zaporozhye. First ranked Budivelnyk faced 3rd ranked Ferro-ZNTU. Guests from Kyiv (23-7) defeated host Ferro-ZNTU (19-12) 75-68. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Budivelnyk outrebounded Ferro-ZNTU 42-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Budivelnyk made 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) who scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri, agency: Edge Sports) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. point guard Randy Culpepper (182-89, college: UTEP) produced 20 points and 6 assists for the hosts. Budivelnyk have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-7 record. Ferro-ZNTU at the other side keeps the third place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Halychyna. Budivelnyk are looking forward to face Kryvbasbasket (#10) in Krivoy Rog in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ferro-ZNTU will have a break next round.
Eleventh-ranked DniproAzot (11-19) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Cherkasy (17-15). Cherkasy managed to secure only one-point victory 68-67. However their fans expected much easier game. The game was also dominated by American players. Forward Vincent Hunter (208-84, college: Arkansas) saved the victory by scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Charles Thomas contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Sam Muldrow (205-88, college: S.Carolina) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks for DniproAzot. Cherkasy maintains sixth position with 17-15 record. DniproAzot lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 19 games lost. They share the position with BC Odessa and Dnipro. Cherkasy will play against bottom-ranked BC Kyiv (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. DniproAzot will play against Halychyna in Lviv and hopes to get back on the winning track.

However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Odessa. Worth to mention a great performance of Ryan Pearson who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Justin Love responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hoverla maintains seventh position with 16-14 record. Loser BC Odessa dropped to the eleventh place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Dnipro and DniproAzot. Hoverla will meet at home league's second-placed Azovmash in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BC Odessa will have a break next round.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Dnepropetrovsk. Local Dnipro (11-19) outscored 14th ranked BC Kyiv (6-25) 84-59. The winners were led by Daniel Kickert who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Dnipro's coach Valdemaras Chomicius felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dnipro moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with BC Odessa and DniproAzot. BC Kyiv lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Dnipro will have a break next round. BC Kyiv will play at home against Cherkasy (#6).

In the last game of round 44 Halychyna crushed Kryvbasbasket in Lviv 90-67.



Kryvbasbasket - Halychyna 67-90

There was no surprise in Krivoy Rog where 10th ranked Kryvbasbasket (12-18) was crushed by fourth ranked Halychyna (19-12) 90-67. The game without a history. Halychyna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Halychyna had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Kryvbasbasket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Darrel Mitchell (181-84, college: LSU, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Halychyna players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by American point guard Darius Adams (182-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Three Eye Sports) did not help to save the game for Kryvbasbasket. Serbian forward Lazar Trifunovic (205-87, college: Radford) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Kryvbasbasket's coach Karlis Muiznieks gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Halychyna moved-up to third place, which they share with Ferro-ZNTU. Kryvbasbasket at the other side keeps the tenth position with 18 games lost. Halychyna's next round opponent will be DniproAzot (#13) in Dniprodzerzhynsk and are hoping to win another game. Kryvbasbasket will play on the road against the league's leader Budivelnyk in Kyiv.

Twelfth-ranked BC Odessa (11-19) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Hoverla (16-14) on Sunday. The visitors from Frankivsk managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 2 points. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and center Yaroslav Lemyk (204-85) who added 13 points during the contest. American guard Justin Love (189-78, college: St.Louis) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Andriy Agafonov (208-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hoverla maintains seventh position with 16-14 record.
