20-year old swingman Alina Iagupova (186-G/F-92, agency: LBM Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Elizabeth-Basket and receives a Eurobasket.com Higher League Player of the Week award for round 17.
She had the game-high 45 points adding seven rebounds and six assists for Elizabeth-Basket in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Dynamo (#1, 16-6) 94-90. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Elizabeth-Basket maintains the 2nd position in Ukrainian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Elizabeth-Basket will need more victories to improve their 15-7 record. In the team's last game Iagupova had a remarkable 60.9% from 2-point range. She turned to be Elizabeth-Basket's top player in her first season with the team. Iagupova has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 33.0ppg. Iagupova is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 7.8rpg), assists (2nd best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 2.8spg and 58.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Krystyna Matsko (182-F-91) of Tim-Scuf. She is a forward in her 5th season at Tim-Scuf. In the last game Matsko recorded impressive double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds. Of course she lead Tim-Scuf to another comfortable win 86-70 over the lower-ranked Frankivsk-Hal. (#6, 1-16) being unquestionably team leader. Tim-Scuf's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 13-8 record is not bad at all. Matsko is one of the most experienced players at Tim-Scuf and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Alisa Siromatnikova (165-G-87) of Interkhim (#4). Siromatnikova got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. She went also for fifteen rebounds . She was a key player of Interkhim, leading her team to a 81-69 win against slightly lower-ranked Bar Regina-B. (#5, 8-12). The chances of Interkhim ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Siromatnikova could help Interkhim to bring them higher in the standings. Siromatnikova has a very solid season. In 20 games in Ukraine she scored 11.2ppg. She also has 4.1rpg, 4.6apg and 2.1spg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Krystyna Matsko (182-F-91) of Tim-Scuf - 26 points and 10 rebounds
5. Miriam Uro-Nilie (190-C-94) of Tim-Scuf - 25 points and 9 rebounds
6. Tyra White (182-G-89) of Dynamo - 31 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
