Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ukrainian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international power forward Serhiy Lishchuk (210-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. Lishchuk could not help Valencia Basket (13-10) to beat Cajasol (9-14). He scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Valencia Basket was defeated 72-66 on the road by the much lower-ranked Cajasol (#14). It's Lishchuk's fourth season with the team. This year Lishchuk averages: 6.2ppg, 3.2rpg, 2FGP: 54.2% and FT: 73.9%. He played for the Ukrainian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Klym Artamonov (183-93, currently plays in Lithuania). Artamonov led Siauliai to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Sakalai (4-12) crushing them 89-69 in the Lithuanian LKL last Saturday. He recorded 12 points and added 3 passes in 23 minutes. BC Siauliai (8-7) is placed seventh in the LKL. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. It's Artamonov's first season with the team. This year Artamonov's overall stats are: 2.3ppg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 27.8%, 3FGP: 46.2%(6-13) in the 12 games he played so far. He is in the roster of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was U20 international center Alex Len (216-93, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA. Len was not able to help the Maryland (8-8) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance the Maryland was defeated 78-68 in Atlanta, GA by the Georgia Tech. Len recorded 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Len belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #6) and also on the list of best blockers (third place). His total stats this season are: 2.3ppg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 27.8%, 3FGP: 46.2%(6-13). Len is also a member of the Ukrainian U20 national team.

   #4. Forward Vladyslav Kondratyev (203-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the St.Francis College (PA) (5-13) crushing them 85-60 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Kondratyev also added 2 blocks in 24 minutes. The Bryant University has a solid 12-6 conference record this season. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Kondratyev has been at the team for four years. This season his total stats are: 2.3ppg and 1.1apg in the 12 games. Kondratyev used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2010.

International center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Detroit Pistons (23-38) in their game against the Atlanta Hawks (33-24) in the NBA. He cannot count Monday's game as one of the best ones. Kravtsov scored only 2 points. The Detroit Pistons were defeated 114-103 in Atlanta by the Hawks. Kravtsov has averaged so far 3.4ppg and 1.7rpg. He plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

Point guard Vitaly Boyko (183-82, currently plays in Russia) was the major contributor in Volgograd's victory against the closely-ranked Ryazan (12-10) 88-83 in the Russian Superleague (second division) on Sunday night. Boyko scored 22 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 43 minutes. Krasnie Oktebr Volgograd (7-12) is placed 11th in the Superleague. Boyko is ranked first on the list of the top scorers in the league with 16.8ppg. This year his other stats are: 5.0rpg, 3.9apg and 1.4spg in the 17 games. Boyko is a former international player as he played for the Ukrainian senior team seven years ago.

Former U20 international guard Maksym Ozhegov (190-90, currently plays in Belarus) led Sozh Gomel to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Borisfen (4-19) crushing them 99-79 in the Belarusian Premier League in Tuesday night's game. He scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. BK Sozh Gomel (17-6) is placed second in the Premier League. Ozhegov's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Ozhegov has averaged so far 4.6ppg and 2.1rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

   #8. Center Oleksandr Kushnirov (208-92, currently plays in Lithuania) couldn't help the league outsider Naglis Palangos (0-16) in their game against Nevezis (8-7) in the Lithuanian LKL. Despite his good performance on Saturday night Kushnirov recorded 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was his first game for Naglis Palangos this season. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Kushnirov plays currently for the Ukrainian U20 national team.

   #9. Former U20 international forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91, currently plays in Belarus) led Svisloch to a victory against the league leader Grodno-93 (21-1) 66-58 in the Belarusian Premier League in Tuesday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Konate also added 3 assists in 36 minutes. BK Svisloch Osipovichi (8-14) is placed fifth in the Premier League. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Konate has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.5ppg, 11.5rpg, 1.2apg and 2.7spg in the 10 games. Konate used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

Guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona, currently plays in Russia) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Sojuz Zaretchny (4-17) crushing them 79-46 in the Russian Superleague (second division) in Sunday night's game. He scored 8 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists. It was his first game for Avtodor this season. His team is placed tenth in the Superleague. Burtt is a naturalized American. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster. Burtt used to play for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

   #11. Former U20 international center Olexandr Berhin (205-85, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Vitaly Boyko and both played together in the last Russian Superleague game. Berhin contributed to Volgograd's victory against the closely-ranked Ryazan 88-83. He scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 42 minutes. Berhin has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.3apg in the 18 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team eight years ago.

   #12. International shooting guard Sergii Gladyr (196-88, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in their game against Real Madrid in the Spanish ACB. Gladyr cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points. His team was crushed by 23 points 88-65. Gladyr has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.2spg. He is also in the roster of the Ukrainian national team.

   #13. Former U18 international forward Volodymyr Gerun (208-94, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the one of league's weakest teams W.Virginia in their game against the Baylor University in the NCAA. He cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. Gerun recorded only 3 points. His team was edged 65-62. Gerun has averaged so far 4.8ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.1spg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U18 national team two years ago.

   #14. Former University international forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Maksym Ozhegov and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Khodov managed to help BK Sozh Gomel in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Borisfen crushing them 99-79. He scored only 2 points in 10 minutes. Khodov has relatively good stats this year: 10.5ppg and 4.4rpg in the 11 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian university national team back in 2011.

   #15. An experienced former University international guard Pavel Agapov (198-79, currently plays in Russia) couldn't help Ataman in their game against Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Superleague (second division). Agapov scored 5 points. His team was defeated 72-66. Agapov has averaged so far 6.1ppg and 3.0rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian university national team ten years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Rinalds Sirsnins (186-PG-85, currently plays in Latvia) led Jekabpils to a victory over the eighth-ranked Jelgava (10-14) 96-88 in the Latvian LBL in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Sirsnins recorded 32 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his five free throws) in 33 minutes. BK Jekabpils (16-9) is placed second in the LBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Sirsnins' first season with the team. Sirsnins is currently third on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (first place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Sirsnins averages: 16.5ppg, 5.0rpg, 6.1apg and 1.5spg in the 15 games he played so far.

   #2. Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83, currently plays in Belarus) was the major contributor in a Sozh Gomel's victory against one of league's weakest teams Borisfen (4-19) crushing them 99-79 in the Belarusian Premier League last Tuesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 16 rebounds. BK Sozh Gomel (17-6) is placed second in the Premier League. Dadukin's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Dadukin's first season with the team. Dadukin is ranked first on the list of the best rebounders in the league. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.1ppg, 10.5rpg, 2.7apg and 1.9spg.

   #3. Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Dadukin and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Miakinin was the main contributor in a Sozh Gomel's victory against one of league's weakest teams Borisfen (4-19) crushing them 99-79. He was MVP of the game. Miakinin scored 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in 28 minutes. It's Miakinin's first season with the team. Miakinin is currently third on the list of top scorers with 16.3ppg. This year his other stats are: 4.8rpg in the 22 games.

   #4. Experienced Maksym Shtein (206-C-80, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Weissenhorn Youngstars' victory against the seventh-ranked Fraport Skyliners II (11-10) 75-62 in the German ProB (third division) last Sunday. Shtein scored 13 points and added 6 assists in 36 minutes. Weissenhorn Youngstars (14-7) is placed second in Group South. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Shtein has averaged so far 8.0ppg, 5.2rpg and 2.0apg in the 21 games. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and German.

   #5. Igor Nesterenko (201-C/F-90, currently plays in Israel), who plays in the Israeli National League (second division) could not help Elitzur Yavne (13-6) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his good performance Elitzur Yavne was defeated 113-104 at home by the leading Ironi Nes-Ziona. Nesterenko recorded 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Nesterenko has relatively good stats this season: 10.7ppg and 5.7rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Israeli. Despite Nesterenko's Ukrainian nationality, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ukrainian team.

   #6. Ivan Kaliayev (201-F-87, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Dadukin. He played also in the last Belarusian Premier League game facing Sergei Miakinin (above) in the other team. Kaliayev managed to help BK Sozh Gomel in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Borisfen crushing them 99-79. He scored 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 11 minutes. Kaliayev has averaged so far 7.1ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.4apg and 1.5spg in the 23 games.

   #7. Vitaliy Bliznyuk (206-C-79, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to help Grodno-93 in their game against Svisloch in the Belarusian Premier League. Bliznyuk cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 1 points in 10 minutes. His team lost 58-66. Bliznyuk has averaged so far 4.8ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.1spg in the nine games.

Bipa Basket Odessa (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old small forward Olexandr Furs (201-107kg-93) from VolinBasket. In 20 Superleague games he recorded 6.2ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.9apg this season. The most of last season Furs spent at Dynamo (SL Favorit Sport) where in 39 games he averaged 3.8ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.0apg. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. An interesting game for Hoverla (12-2) which hosted in Frankivsk 4th ranked BC-93 Pulsar (8-6). First ranked Hoverla had an easy win 90-50. The game without a history. Hoverla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter.
