Raymond
American point guard Stephanie Raymond (170-PG-85) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Elizabeth-Basket, receiving a Eurobasket.com Higher League Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (17 points, two rebounds and nine assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Frankivsk-Hal. (#6, 1-18) with 39-point margin 93-54. Elizabeth-Basket maintains the 2nd position in Ukrainian Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Elizabeth-Basket will need more victories to improve their 17-7 record. Raymond just recently signed at Elizabeth-Basket, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Stephanie Raymond averages this season 11.3ppg and 6.7apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Krystyna Matsko (182-F-91) of Tim-Scuf. Matsko had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Tim-Scuf cruised to a 88-81 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Bar Regina-B. (#5, 8-13). Tim-Scuf's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 14-8 record is not bad at all. Matsko is one of the most experienced players at Tim-Scuf and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Elizabeth-Basket's star - international swingman Alina Iagupova (186-G/F-92, agency: LBM Management). Iagupova scored 27 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Elizabeth-Basket, helping her team with a 93-54 easy win against the lower-ranked Frankivsk-Hal. (#6, 1-18). Elizabeth-Basket needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 17 victories and 7 lost games. Iagupova has a great season in Ukraine. After 20 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 31.5ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 7.9rpg (4th best) and assists with 5.0apg (2nd best). She also has 2.6spg and FGP: 58.4%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Stephanie Raymond (170-PG-85) of Elizabeth-Basket - 13 points and 11 assists
5. Olena Zherzherunova (191-C/F-78) of Elizabeth-Basket - 4 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Alina Iagupova (186-G/F-92) of Elizabeth-Basket - 19 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Juanita Ward (180-G-86) of Dynamo - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Lyudmyla Naumenko (184-F-93) of Bar Regina-B. - 15 points and 6 rebounds
9. Yevgeniya Spitkovska (175-G-88) of Dynamo - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Olena Zherzherunova (191-C/F-78) of Elizabeth-Basket - 8 points and 13 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
