Hunter
28-year old forward Vincent Hunter (208-F-84) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Cherkasy and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 48.
He had the game-high 19 points adding eight rebounds for Cherkasy in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Hoverla (#6, 19-15) with 31-point margin 73-42. Cherkasy maintains the 8th position in Ukrainian league. Cherkasy is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 18-17 record. In the team's last game Hunter had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Cherkasy's top player in his first season with the team. Vincent Hunter averages this season 12.2ppg and 5.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Krys Faber (208-C) of Mykolaiv. He is American center in his first season at Mykolaiv. In the last game Faber recorded impressive double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Mykolaiv was edged in overtime by the higher-ranked Ferro-ZNTU (#4, 20-14) 78-76. Mykolaiv managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 15-18 record. Faber is one of the most experienced players at Mykolaiv and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Cherkasy's star - forward Charles Thomas (203-F-86). Thomas showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was another key player of Cherkasy, helping his team with a 73-42 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Hoverla (#6, 19-15). Cherkasy needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 17 lost games. Thomas has a great season in Ukraine. After 30 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.9ppg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kevin Tiggs (196-G/F-84) of Hoverla - 13 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Sava Lesic (205-C/F-88) of Khimik - 18 points and 10 rebounds
6. Cameron Moore (208-F-90) of Ferro-ZNTU - 21 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Maxim Ivshyn (209-C-86) of Cherkasy - 14 points and 9 rebounds
8. R.T. Guinn (208-PF-81) of Ferro-ZNTU - 17 points and 8 rebounds
9. Sam Muldrow (205-F-88) of DniproAzot - 8 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Ronald Davis (190-G-82) of DniproAzot - 19 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
