The game between Top Four teams took place in Lutsk. 4th placed host VolinBasket (13-9) lost to second ranked Khartsyzsk (20-4) 64-59. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for guard Yurii Koverga (190-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. Guard Andrii Horbatiuk (199-91) helped adding 17 points. Khartsyzsk's coach Vladimir Bryaukhavetshy used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Edvard Fedchuk (180-91) with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Khartsyzsk maintains second place with 20-4 record having five points less than leader Musson, which they share with Avantazh-Pol. VolinBasket at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Khartsyzsk is looking forward to face BC-93 Pulsar (#6) in Rovno in the next round. VolinBasket will play on the road against Ternopil-TNEU and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Higher League top team - Musson (23-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Kirovograd (8-18) in Symferopil 58-48. It was a quality performance for Russian center Dmitri Lipovtsev (207-86) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Dimitri Shevchenko accounted for 9 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Ivan Gusarov (190-87) came up with 9 points and 6 rebounds for Kirovograd in the defeat. Kirovograd's coach Igor Chigrinov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Musson have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Musson maintains first place with 23-3 record. Kirovograd at the other side keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost. Musson will play against Tornado (#5) in Odessa in the next round. Kirovograd will play at home against BK Kremen in Kremenchuk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Rovno supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik (20-4) played at the court of 6th ranked BC-93 Pulsar (10-14). Avantazh-Politekhnik smashed BC-93 Pulsar 97-73 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Timur Arabadzhi who scored 31 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Avantazh-Politekhnik's coach Valentin Kulibaba felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Oleg Demchuk who recorded 29 points and 9 rebounds. Avantazh-Politekhnik have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Khartsyzsk. Loser BC-93 Pulsar keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Koksokh-Stal. Avantazh-Politekhnik will meet Koksokh-Stal (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. BC-93 Pulsar will play against the league's second-placed Khartsyzsk in Donetsk and hope to secure a win.
Ninth-ranked BK Kremen (2-20) gave a tough game to seventh ranked Koksokh-Stal (10-14) in Kremenchuk. The visitors from Alchevsk managed to secure only two-point victory 83-81. However their fans expected easier game. It was a good game for Boris Bereziuk who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Koksokh-Stal moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Pulsar. BK Kremen at the other side keeps the ninth position with 20 games lost. Koksokh-Stal's next round opponent will be higher ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik (#3) in Kharkov and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Kremen will play on the road against Kirovograd (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



VolinBasket - Khartsyzsk 59-64
