Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ukrainian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international power forward Serhiy Lishchuk (210-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to a Valencia Basket's victory against the ninth-ranked Asefa Estudiantes (12-12) 81-71 in the Spanish ACB in Saturday night's game. Lishchuk scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes on the court. Valencia Basket (14-10) is placed fifth in the ACB. It's Lishchuk's fourth season with the team. This year he averages: 6.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 2FGP: 52.6% and FT: 74.0% in the 19 games he played so far. Lishchuk played for the Ukrainian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Klym Artamonov (183-93, currently plays in Lithuania). He led Siauliai to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Sakalai (4-12) crushing them 89-69 in the Lithuanian LKL on Saturday night. Artamonov recorded 12 points and added 3 passes in 23 minutes. BC Siauliai (8-7) is placed seventh in the LKL. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. It's Artamonov's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 2.3ppg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 27.8%, 3FGP: 46.2%(6-13) in the 12 games. Artamonov is in the roster of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91, currently plays in Belarus). He was the major contributor in Svisloch's victory against the closely-ranked Rubon (11-13) 93-80 in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game. Konate recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added and 4 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Svisloch Osipovichi (10-14) is placed fourth in the Premier League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Konate has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.2ppg, 12.2rpg, 1.3apg, 2.9spg, 2FGP: 54.3%, 3FGP: 26.5% and FT: 48.2%. Konate played for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

Center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Detroit Pistons (23-41) to beat the New York Knicks (38-22). He scored only 4 points in 12 minutes. The Detroit Pistons lost 77-87 on the road to the Knicks. It was Pistons' fourth consecutive loss in a row. This year Kravtsov's total stats are: 3.4ppg and 1.9rpg in the 17 games. He is also Ukrainian national team player.

Former U20 international forward Vladyslav Kondratyev (203-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Bryant win their game against the St.Francis College (PA) (5-13) crushing them 85-60 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Kondratyev had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 24 minutes. The Bryant University has a solid 12-7 conference record this season. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Kondratyev is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Bryant's roster. Kondratyev has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.9apg in the 22 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

Point guard Vitaly Boyko (183-82, currently plays in Russia) led Volgograd to a victory against the eighth-ranked Ryazan (12-11) 88-83 in the Russian Superleague (second division) in Sunday night's game. Boyko scored 22 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Krasnie Oktebr Volgograd (7-12) is placed 12th in the Superleague. Boyko is currently second on the list of top scorers. This season he has very high stats. Boyko averages: 16.8ppg, 5.0rpg, 3.9apg and 1.4spg. He is a former international player as he played for the Ukrainian senior team seven years ago.

Former University international forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87, currently plays in Belarus) helped Sozh Gomel win their game against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (9-15) 85-81 in the Belarusian Premier League last Saturday. Khodov recorded 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes. BK Sozh Gomel (18-6) is placed second in the Premier League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Khodov has relatively good stats this year: 10.5ppg and 4.4rpg in the 12 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian university national team two years ago.

Center Oleksandr Kushnirov (208-92, currently plays in Lithuania), who plays in the Lithuanian LKL was not able to help the league outsider Naglis Palangos (0-16) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Kushnirov's good performance the bottom-ranked Naglis Palangos was edged 69-68 in Kedainiai by the much higher-ranked Nevezis (#5). He recorded 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was his first game for Naglis Palangos this season. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Kushnirov plays currently for the Ukrainian U20 national team.

   #9. U20 international center Alex Len (216-93, currently studies in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the Maryland (8-9) in their game against the University of North Carolina (12-6) in the NCAA. He scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Maryland was defeated 79-68 at home by the University of North Carolina. Len's team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. Len has averaged so far 7.3ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.4apg and 1.4spg. He is also in the roster of the Ukrainian U20 national team.

   #10. Guard Pavel Agapov (198-79, currently plays in Russia) helped Ataman win their game against the ninth-ranked AltajBasket (11-11) 72-64 in the Russian Superleague (second division) last Friday. He scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in a mere 18 minutes. Ataman Rostov (14-9) is placed fourth in the Superleague. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Agapov has averaged so far 6.3ppg and 3.1rpg in the 19 games. He is a former university international player as ten years ago he still played for the Ukrainian national team.

   #11. International guard Steven Burtt (185-84, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, college: Iona, currently plays in Russia) helped Avtodor win their game against one of league's weakest teams Sojuz Zaretchny crushing them 79-46 in the Russian Superleague (second division) on Sunday night. Burtt scored 8 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Burtt has averaged so far 8.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 3.5apg. He is a naturalized American. Burtt plays currently for the Ukrainian national team. He used to play for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

   #12. Former U20 international center Olexandr Berhin (205-85, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Vitaly Boyko and both played together in the last Russian Superleague game. Berhin helped Volgograd win their game against the eighth-ranked Ryazan 88-83. He scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 42 minutes. Berhin has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.3apg in the 18 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2005.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Rinalds Sirsnins (186-PG-85, currently plays in Latvia) was the major contributor in Jekabpils' victory against the seventh-ranked Jurmala (11-16) 88-84 in the Latvian LBL last Wednesday. He recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. BK Jekabpils (17-9) is placed first in the LBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Sirsnins is currently third on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (first place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Sirsnins averages: 16.5ppg, 5.1rpg, 6.3apg and 1.5spg.

   #2. Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83, currently plays in Belarus) led Sozh Gomel to a victory against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (9-15) 85-81 in the Belarusian Premier League on Saturday night. Dadukin recorded 11 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. BK Sozh Gomel (18-6) is placed second in the Premier League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Dadukin is currently eighth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has very reliable stats this season: 12.1ppg, 10.4rpg, 2.7apg and 1.9spg.

   #3. Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Dadukin and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Miakinin contributed to a Sozh Gomel's victory against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (9-15) 85-81. He recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 31 minutes. Miakinin belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #3 with 16.2ppg. He also averaged so far 4.8rpg in the 23 games he played so far.

   #4. Experienced Maksym Shtein (206-C-80, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProB (third division) could not help Weissenhorn Youngstars (14-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Shtein's very good performance the third-placed Weissenhorn Youngstars was defeated 64-56 on the road by the second-ranked TV 1862 Langen in the Group South. He recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 13 rebounds. The Regular Season already ended. Shtein has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.9apg. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and German.

   #5. Ivan Kaliayev (201-F-87, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Dadukin. He played also in the last Belarusian Premier League game facing Sergei Miakinin (above) in the other team. Kaliayev helped Sozh Gomel win their game against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (9-15) 85-81. He recorded 10 points in 27 minutes. Kaliayev has averaged so far 7.3ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.4apg and 1.4spg in the 24 games.

   #6. Igor Nesterenko (201-C/F-90, currently plays in Israel) helped Elitzur Yavne win their game against the closely-ranked Hod Hasharon 86-79 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. Nesterenko scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 23 minutes. This year Nesterenko has relatively solid stats: 10.8ppg and 5.9rpg in the 20 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Israeli. Despite Nesterenko's Ukrainian nationality, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ukrainian team.

   #7. Vitaliy Bliznyuk (206-C-79, currently plays in Belarus) managed to help BK Grodno-93 to win against the closely-ranked Rubon 80-66 in the Belarusian Premier League in Tuesday night's game. Bliznyuk scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Bliznyuk has averaged so far 4.8ppg and 4.0rpg.

Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 21-year old forward Anton Dziuba (204-92kg-95, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). He played most recently at Infiz Basket in Higher League. However his team was relegated to 1 League. In 15 SL Favorit Sport games he was third best scorer with impressive 16.5ppg and had 6.9rpg last season. 27-year old Ukrainian international power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-99kg-89) left defending champion Stelmet Zielona Gora (TBL). In 9 games he had 4.8ppg and 2.0rpg this season. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final. Zaytsev also played 7 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 4.1ppg and 2.7rpg. The last season he played at Rosa. BK Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny (Superleague) signed 29-year old American center Jason Love (206-120kg-87, college: Xavier). He already started the season at TED Kolejliler in Turkish BSL league. In 6 games he had 6.2ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.0apg this season. The most of last season Love spent at Limburg United (Scooore League) in Belgium where in 24 games he recorded 10.0ppg and 4.3rpg.
