Leader Musson delivered the twentieth fifth win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Tornado (13-15) 91-58 in Symferopil. They outrebounded Tornado 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Russian center Dmitri Lipovtsev (207-86) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. Center Nikola Eromin (207-85) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Igor Meshcheryakov (204-86) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Musson (25-3) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted Musson maintains first place. Tornado lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 15 games lost. Musson are looking forward to face VolinBasket (#4) in Lutsk in the next round. Tornado will play at home against BK Kremen in Kremenchuk and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
The game in Alchevsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik (22-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Koksokh-Stal (10-16). Avantazh-Politekhnik smashed Koksokh-Stal 106-77. Forward Anton Rochnyak (206-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 5 rebounds. Timur Arabadzhi contributed with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Pavlo Haylo (182-87) answered with 25 points and 4 assists for Koksokh-Stal. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Avantazh-Politekhnik. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Khartsyzsk. Koksokh-Stal at the other side keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Pulsar. Avantazh-Politekhnik will play against league's second-placed Khartsyzsk in Donetsk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Koksokh-Stal will play on the road against Kirovograd (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Kirovograd. Local Kirovograd (10-18) outscored 9th ranked BK Kremen (2-22) 94-53 on Sunday night. Anton Rozhkov stepped up and scored 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Kirovograd's coach Igor Chigrinov felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Sergei Glinchak responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Kirovograd maintains eighth place with 10-18 record. BK Kremen lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 22 games lost. Kirovograd will meet at home higher ranked Koksokh-Stal (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Kremen will play against Tornado in Odessa and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 29 VolinBasket defeated Ternopil in Lutsk 94-86. Khartsyzsk beat Pulsar at home 79-64.


Ternopil - VolinBasket 86-94

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Ternopil-TNEU (1-23) was defeated at home by fourth ranked VolinBasket (15-9) 94-86 on Sunday. VolinBasket forced 20 Ternopil-TNEU turnovers. Power forward Vadim Reka (206-83) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Anatoli Dubnyuk (202-76) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Four VolinBasket players scored in double figures. VolinBasket's coach Sergei Smityukh used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Sergyi Teleshko (209-92) responded with 24 points and 7 rebounds and guard Anton Nifonton (190-89) scored 25 points and 5 assists. VolinBasket maintains fourth place with 15-9 record. Loser Ternopil-TNEU stay dead last with 23 lost games. VolinBasket will meet at home league's leader Musson in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ternopil-TNEU will play against BC-93 Pulsar (#6) in Rovno.

They outrebounded Koksokh-Stal 34-20 including 20 on the defensive glass. Forward Anton Rochnyak (206-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Timur Arabadzhi (192-81) contributed with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. No shocking result in a game in Donetsk where second ranked Khartsyzsk (22-4) defeated 6th ranked BC-93 Pulsar (10-16) 79-64 on Sunday. Khartsyzsk dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to BC-93 Pulsar's 26. Khartsyzsk forced 20 BC-93 Pulsar turnovers and outrebounded them 44-33 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Olexiy Sevastianov (190-88) stepped up and scored 4 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Evgen Korovyakov (197-88) chipped in 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Khartsyzsk's coach Vladimir Bryaukhavetshy used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Oleg Demchuk (198-94) responded with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and swingman Taras Lipin (185-93) scored 19 points. The victory was the third consecutive win for Khartsyzsk. They maintain second place with 22-4 record having five points less than leader Musson, which they share with Avantazh-Pol. BC-93 Pulsar lost their fourth game in a row.
