Sixth-ranked Zaporizhya (9-15) made lots of trouble for second ranked Budivelnyk (19-4) in Zaporozhye on Friday. The visitors from Kyiv managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 18-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Zaporizhya helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) who scored 26 points and 7 assists. Naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (214-84) chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Budivelnyk's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Maks Adam Konate (202-91, agency: Alti Sport) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Budivelnyk have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-4 record behind leader Khimik. Zaporizhya lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Mykolaiv. Budivelnyk are looking forward to face Cherkasy (#5) on the road in the next round. Zaporizhya will play against Cherkasy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Viacheslav Petrov contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Artem Chemiakin (208-84) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds for Mykolaiv. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Khimik. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-2 record. Mykolaiv at the other side keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Zaporizhya. Khimik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mykolaiv will play on the road against Bipa Basket (#4) in Odessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 27 Cherkasy was defeated by Dnipro in Dnepropetrovsk 76-67. VolinBasket beat Avantazh-Polit. at home 88-73.
The best stats of 27th round was 11 points by Olexandr Belikov of Khimik.

Dnipro - Cherkasy 76-67

There was no surprise in Dnepropetrovsk where 5th ranked Cherkasy (10-12) was defeated by third ranked Dnipro (18-6) 76-67. It looked good early as Cherkasy took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dnipro had a 24-11 second period charge getting the lead and Cherkasy was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-76. Cherkasy was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. International Olexandr Mishula (192-92) contributed with 14 points and 8 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Oleksandr Kolchenko (195-88, agency: AproK Sports Group) answered with 22 points and 4 assists and American forward Stacy Davis (198-94, college: Pepperdine) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Cherkasy. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Dnipro. They maintain third place with 18-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Khimik. Cherkasy at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Dnipro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked VolinBasket's (4-19) home victory over 10th ranked Avantazh-Polit. (2-22) 88-73. The game was mostly controlled by VolinBasket.
