Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ukrainian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in EuroCup). He led his Spanish team Valencia Basket to a victory over the closely-ranked ALBA Berlin (1-5) crushing them 99-73 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Kravtsov was MVP of the game. He scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in a mere 16 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Valencia Basket (6-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all six games in the Second Stage. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. It's Kravtsov's first season with the team. This year Kravtsov averages: 8.4ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.2bpg, 2FGP: 80.9%(38-47) and FT: 61.5% in 11 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland, currently plays in China). Jeter was the major contributor in a TianJin Steel's victory against the closely-ranked Jilin Tigers (12-22) 131-126 in the Chinese CBA last Wednesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 38 points and making 15 passes. Jeter also added 7 rebounds and 4 steals. TianJin Steel (18-17) is placed 11th in the CBA. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Jeter has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 27.9ppg, 5.1rpg, 7.9apg, 1.9spg, 2FGP: 55.8%(177-317), 3FGP: 39.5% and FT: 88.7%. Jeter is a naturalized American. He played for the Ukrainian national team in 2014. Jeter used to play for BC Kyiv in Ukrainian league.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Kyrylo Fesenko (216-86, currently plays in Italy). He could not help Scandone AV (12-6) to beat The Flexx PT (9-9). Fesenko scored 9 points, had 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 34 minutes. But Scandone AV lost 59-67 on the road to the lower-ranked (#9) The Flexx PT. Fesenko has relatively good stats this year: 11.1ppg, 6.8rpg, 2FGP: 64.9%(74-114) and FT: 56.0% in 18 games. Ex-BC Donetsk player is also a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #4. Center Maksym Kozlovets (205-90, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to help COR-Borisfen (20-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance COR-Borisfen was defeated 90-82 at home by the lower-ranked Impuls BGUIR (#5). Kozlovets recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 14 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). This season Kozlovets has very high stats. He averages: 17.4ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg. Kozlovets used to play for the Ukrainian U16 national team back in 2006.

   #5. Former international point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California, currently plays in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for Adelaide 36ers (17-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the league leader Adelaide 36ers lost 89-98 in Cairns to the second-ranked Taipans. Randle was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 31 minutes. It was Adelaide 36ers' fifth consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Randle has very impressive stats this year: 21.0ppg, 2.8rpg and 5.3apg in 28 games. He is a naturalized American. Randle used to play for the Ukrainian national team two years ago. He played also for 90.2%; in Feb.'12 agreed terms with Azovmash Mariupol in Ukrainian league.

   #6. Swingman Sergii Gladyr (196-88, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Le Portel (8-11) crushing them 81-57 in the French ProA on Saturday night. Gladyr scored 6 points and added 3 passes. AS Monaco Basket (17-2) is placed first in the ProA. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. This season Gladyr has relatively solid stats: 10.5ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.4apg and 1.4spg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster.

   #7. Former international forward Denis Ikovlev (200-86, college: Nevada, currently plays in Poland) was the main contributor in a PGE Turow's victory against the closely-ranked Wilki Morskie (10-9) 88-75 in the Polish PLK in Saturday night's game. Ikovlev was the best player in that game. He scored 14 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 36 minutes. PGE Turow Zgorzelec (11-8) is placed sixth in the PLK. Ikovlev has reliable stats this year: 10.6ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.1apg in 18 games. He is a naturalized American. Ikovlev used to play for the Ukrainian national team four years ago. Strangely he has never played in Ukraine.

   #8. Power forward Andriy Agafonov (208-86, agency: AproK Sports Group, currently plays in Lithuania) couldn't help P.Zvaigzdes (10-13) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Agafonov's very good performance P.Zvaigzdes was defeated 84-76 on their home court in Pasvalys by the second-ranked Lietkabelis. He was the second best scorer with 18 points. Agafonov also added 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. Agafonov's stats this season are: 12.1ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2bpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2012.

   #9. Former international center Alex Len (216-93, college: Maryland, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Phoenix Suns (17-38) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Len's good performance the Phoenix Suns (17-38) were crushed 133-102 on their home court in Phoenix by the Houston Rockets. He scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Len is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Suns' roster. Len averaged so far 7.3ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.3bpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian national team two years ago.

   #10. Power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, currently plays in Poland) contributed to Rosa's victory against the league outsider Stabill (3-17) 75-61 in the Polish PLK last Saturday. Zaytsev recorded 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. Rosa Radom (11-9) is placed eighth in the PLK. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Zaytsev's overall stats are: 7.3ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.3bpg in 52 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster.

   #11. Former international guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona, currently plays in Greece) contributed to an Apollon Patras' surprising victory against the sixth-ranked PAOK 88-79 in the Greek A1 in Saturday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Burtt scored 20 points in 30 minutes. It was his first game for Apollon Patras this season. Burtt is a naturalized American. He used to play for the Ukrainian national team five years ago. Burtt played also for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

   #12. Former U20 international center Vladislav Korenyuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Lithuania) couldn't help Siauliai (3-20) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Siauliai was edged 82-81 on their home court in Siauliai by the much higher-ranked Lietuvos rytas (#3). Korenyuk recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. Korenyuk averaged so far 12.4ppg and 5.4rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2014.

   #13. International guard Oleksandr Lypovyy (200-91, currently plays in Greece) couldn't help Aiolos Trikallon (6-11) in their last game. Despite Lypovyy's good performance Aiolos Trikallon lost 82-87 in Athens to the much higher-ranked (#3) AEK Athens. He scored 14 points in 25 minutes. This year Lypovyy's total stats are: 10.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.8apg in 16 games. He is also Ukrainian national team player.

   #14. Former international power forward Vitaliy Kovalenko (204-84, currently plays in Poland) couldn't help MKS Dabrowa Gornicza in their game against Anwil in the Polish PLK. Kovalenko scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was edged 73-70. Kovalenko has averaged so far 9.8ppg and 3.8rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2008.

   #15. Former University international power forward Andriy Malysh (203-83, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Maksym Kozlovets. But that was another game of his team in Belarusian Premier League which we would like to mention. Malysh contributed to COR-Borisfen's victory against the closely-ranked Impuls BGUIR 82-69. He recorded 6 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in 34 minutes. Malysh's stats this year are: 11.1ppg, 7.0rpg and 2.8apg in 10 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian university national team fourteen years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Bogdan Bliznyuk (198-F-95, currently plays college basketball in the States) led E.Washington to a victory against the Portland State University (1-2) 130-124 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Bliznyuk had a double-double by scoring 45 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 9 assists in 53 minutes. The Eastern Washington University has 3-2 conference record this season. Bliznyuk has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 19.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 4.2apg and 1.1spg in 24 games he played so far.

   #2. Ivan Kaliayev (200-F-87, currently plays in Belarus) led Grodno-93 to a victory over one of league's weakest teams GOCOR-Sozh (3-19) crushing them 96-60 in the Belarusian Premier League on Friday night. Kaliayev was the top player that evening. He recorded 16 points and added 5 assists. BK Grodno-93 (23-1) is placed first in the Premier League. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Kaliayev's total stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.4apg and 1.5spg.

   #3. Igor Krivtsov (201-F-86, currently plays in Georgia) could not help Batumi (6-10) in their last game. Despite Krivtsov's very good performance Batumi lost 74-81 at home to the leading Dinamo Tbilisi. He had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds. Krivtsov also added and 3 steals in 33 minutes. It was Batumi's fifth consecutive loss in a row. Krivtsov has averaged so far 9.6ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1spg in 14 games.

   #4. Volodymyr Iegorov (201-F, currently plays in Canada) was not able to help the Thompson Rivers University (8-12) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the Thompson Rivers University (#3) was defeated 79-74 on the road by the Cougars. Iegorov recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 12 rebounds. The Regular Season already ended. This season Iegorov has very high stats. He averages: 18.3ppg, 9.1rpg, 3.5apg, 1.3bpg and 1.1spg.

   #5. Yurii Frasenyuk (200-F-86, currently plays in Romania) was not able to secure a victory for Craiova (5-14) in their last game on Monday. Despite Frasenyuk's good performance Craiova was edged 101-99 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Pitesti (#4). He scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Frasenyuk's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Frasenyuk averaged so far 10.2ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.6apg. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Romanian.

   #6. Artem Shelukha (198-F-87, currently plays in Germany) couldn't help AstroStars in their game against Artland Dragons in the German ProB (third division). Shelukha recorded 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 26 minutes. His team lost 68-77. Shelukha has averaged so far 3.4ppg and 1.5rpg in 12 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and German.

   #7. Igor Nesterenko (203-C-90, currently plays in Israel) couldn't help Ironi Nahariya in their game against Hapoel Eilat in the Israeli Winner League. Nesterenko cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only one point. His team was defeated 86-79. This season Nesterenko averages only 1.6ppg. He has both Ukrainian and Israeli nationalities.

   #8. Yaroslav Fomichov (196-F/G-94, currently plays in Poland) couldn't help AZS PCz (4-18) in their last game. Despite Fomichov's good performance the 13th-placed AZS PCz was crushed 86-64 in Gliwice by the higher-ranked (#11) AZS PS in the Group C. He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Fomichov also added 5 rebounds in 30 minutes. Fomichov has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.2apg in 12 games.

   #9. Experienced Vadim Matyukevych (209-C-80, currently plays in Baltic League) couldn't help Barsy Atyrau in their game against TU/Rock in the Baltic League. He cannot count Monday's game as one of the best ones. Matyukevych recorded only one point. His team was crushed by 34 points 83-49. Matyukevych has averaged so far 4.1ppg and 2.9rpg.

   #10. Volodymyr Markovetskyy (211-C-0, currently plays in Lithuania) couldn't help Zalgiris II in their game against Ezerunas-Karys in the Lithuanian NKL (second division). He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Markovetskyy scored only 2 points. His team was defeated 72-59. This season Markovetskyy averages just 1.7ppg.

There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in Higher League. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Round 13 most important game was a victory of Khimik-2 over 5th ranked Zolotoi Vek 98-92 on Friday night.
