The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds.

The most exciting game of round 30 in the Superleague took place in Cherkasy. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Khimik (19-4) to fifth ranked Cherkasy (12-11) 84-83 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Khimik won fourth quarter 15-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international swingman Oleksandr Kolchenko (195-88, agency: AproK Sports Group) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Stacy Davis (198-94, college: Pepperdine) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jaime Smith (190-89, college: Al.-Huntsville) with 21 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cherkasy have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 12-11 record. Defending champion Khimik keeps the second place with four games lost. Cherkasy are looking forward to face Kremen (#8) in Kremenchuk in the next round. Khimik will play at home against Dnipro (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Kyiv. First ranked host Budivelnyk (22-2) smashed 4th ranked Bipa Basket (13-11) 81-59. American swingman DJ Stephens (198-90, college: Memphis) notched 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Pavlo Krutous supported him with 15 points. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by center Anatoly Chelovan (208-91) did not help to save the game for Bipa Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Budivelnyk have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-2 record. Bipa Basket at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Budivelnyk will play against Avantazh-Polit. (#10) in Kharkiv in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bipa Basket will play at home against Zaporizhya (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Mykolaiv between Avantazh-Polit. and Mykolaiv. Tenth ranked Avantazh-Polit. (3-20) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Mykolaiv (10-14). Avantazh-Polit. managed to escape with a 1-point win 73-72 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Roman Kozlov who scored 18 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Denis Ivanov who recorded 22 points. Newly promoted Avantazh-Polit. maintains tenth position with 3-20 record. Loser Mykolaiv dropped to the seventh place with 14 games lost. Avantazh-Polit. will meet at home league's leader Budivelnyk in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Mykolaiv will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 30 VolinBasket lost to Dnipro on the opponent's court 51-65.

Dnipro - VolinBasket 65-51

Very expected game in Dnepropetrovsk where 9th ranked VolinBasket (4-20) was defeated by third ranked Dnipro (17-6) 65-51 on Sunday. VolinBasket was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 24-3 charge of Dnipro, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding VolinBasket to just 3 points in fourth quarter. Dnipro made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded VolinBasket 45-29 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Sergiy Zagreba (214-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90, agency: AproK Sports Group) who recorded 12 points and point guard Edward Fedchuk (182-91) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dnipro maintains third position with 17-6 record having six points less than leader Budivelnyk. VolinBasket lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 20 games lost. Dnipro will meet league's second-placed Khimik in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. VolinBasket will have a break next round.

At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Denis Ivanov (195-78) who recorded 22 points and power forward Artem Chemiakin (208-84) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. The game between Top Four teams took place in Kyiv. First ranked host Budivelnyk (22-2) smashed 4th ranked Bipa Basket (13-11) 81-59. It looked good early as Bipa Basket took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Budivelnyk had a 22-10 second period charge getting the lead and Bipa Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-81. They outrebounded Bipa Basket 40-26 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bipa Basket was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman DJ Stephens (198-90, college: Memphis) notched 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and international swingman Pavlo Krutous (196-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) supported him with 15 points.
