Zuev's double-double lands him Higher League Court Side Player of the Week award - Feb 20, 2017

Kirilo Zuev
23-year old guard Kirilo Zuev (193-G-93) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Azovmash and receives a Court Side Higher League Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had a double-double of 15 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out SumDU (#5, 4-18) in overtime 74-71. Azovmash maintains the 2nd position in their group in Ukrainian Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Azovmash will need more victories to improve their 15-9 record. Zuev turned to be Azovmash's top player in his first season with the team. Zuev has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 11.1rpg. Zuev is in league's top in and averages solid 52.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Evgeni Sergeychik (185-G-94) of top-ranked Krivbas-2. He is a guard in his 3rd season at Krivbas-2. In the last game Sergeychik recorded impressive 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course he led Krivbas-2 to another comfortable win 94-80 over the lower-ranked Kremen-2 (#6, 3-19) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Krivbas-2 still keep Group 1's top spot. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 18 matches. Sergeychik is one of the most experienced players at Krivbas-2 and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Bogdan Yasinenko (203-PF-95) of Kremen-2 (#6). Yasinenko showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and eight assists in the last round. Despite Yasinenko's great performance Kremen-2 lost 80-94 to the higher-ranked Krivbas-2 (#1, 18-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Kremen-2 can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group 1. They have rather bad season and 3-19 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Yasinenko he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Yasinenko has a very solid season. In 5 games in Ukraine he scored 19.2ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Dmytro Khodov (203-F-87) of Politekhn.Lvov - 27 points, 2 rebounds and 9 assists
5. Ivan Tkachenko (197-F/G-97) of Ch.Mavpy 2 - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Olexandr Drobiazko (196-F-93) of Zolotoi Vek - 20 points and 10 rebounds
7. Vladyslav Frolov (202-C/F-98) of Krivbas-2 - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Valeriy Anisimov (210-C-90) of Krivbas-2 - 17 points and 12 rebounds
9. Evgen Odazhny (210-C-92) of Ternopil-TNEU - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Artem Kovalov (202-F-97) of Khimik-2 - 15 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Court Side. Court Side is the global leader in basketball management, and is widely regarded as the most dynamic and innovative company of its kind. It was the first Basketball Agency to launch its own website, and the first to have its own database. Court Side has more agents and manpower within its organization, than any other competitor, and its international network of basketball contacts is still unparalleled.
