Volodymyr
Koniev
27-year old forward Volodymyr Koniev (203-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Khimik and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 32.
He had the game-high 15 points adding six rebounds and five assists for Khimik in his team's victory, helping them to crush Zaporizhya (#7, 11-14) with 23-point margin 89-66. Khimik maintains the 2nd position in Ukrainian league. They are still close to the very top. Khimik would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 21-5 record. In the team's last game Koniev had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Khimik, through which he has constantly improved. Volodymyr Koniev averages this season 9.1ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Stacy Davis (198-F-94) of Cherkasy. He is American forward in his first season at Cherkasy. In the last game Davis recorded impressive 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Cherkasy to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Avantazh-Polit. (#10, 3-22) 104-75. Cherkasy's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 14-12 record is not bad at all. Davis is a newcomer at Cherkasy and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Bogdan Bayda (193-G-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) of Kremen (#8). Bayda scored 25 points. Despite Bayda's great performance Kremen lost 67-94 to the higher-ranked Budivelnyk (#1, 24-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Kremen can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 7-18 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Bayda he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Bayda has a very solid season. In 25 games in Ukraine he scored 8.4ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Anatoliy Shundel (191-SG-93) of Dnipro - 19 points and 5 rebounds
5. Jason Love (206-C-87) of Khimik - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Andrii Kalnichenko (201-SF-86) of Cherkasy - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Brandon Fields (193-G-88) of Budivelnyk - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Oleksandr Kolchenko (195-G/F-88) of Cherkasy - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Jaime Smith (190-PG-89) of Khimik - 19 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Viacheslav Petrov (204-F/C-94) of Khimik - 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
