There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Second Stage in Higher League.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kryvyi Rih. host Krivbas-2 (10-4) defeated Khimik-2 (8-6) 103-87. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 16 points. Krivbas-2 outrebounded Khimik-2 42-25 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Khimik-2's players. Guard Evgeni Sergeychik (185-94) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Volodymyr Orlenko (212-85) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Forward Artem Kovalov (202-97, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Khimik-2's coach Aleksandr Paschenko rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
The game in Mykolaiv was also worth to mention about. Hoverla (9-5) played at the court of Niko-Basket (1-13). Hoverla managed to secure a 8-point victory 73-65. The former international center Roman Gumeniuk (220-87) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Yevgen Koroviyakov supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 19 points by swingman Maksym Ozhegov (190-90) did not help to save the game for Niko-Basket. Hoverla will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Niko-Basket will play again at home against Hoverla (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Mariupol supposed to be also quite interesting. Politekhn.Lvov (8-6) played at the court of Azovmash (7-7). Azovmash smashed Politekhn.Lvov 89-64 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Yevgen Bumbur who scored 25 points and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Maxym Vorobjov produced 13 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Politekhn.Lvov's coach Yaroslav Zubrytskyy gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.

In the last game of round 2 BC-93 RSzVSM lost to Zolotoi Vek on the opponent's court 95-100.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 27 points and 10 rebounds by Andriy Kulish of Zolotoi Vek.

Zolotoi Vek - BC-93 RSzVSM 83-53

Zolotoi Vek (11-3) crushed at home BC-93 Pulsar (2-12) by 30 points 83-53, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. Zolotoi Vek led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to BC-93 Pulsar's 28. Zolotoi Vek forced 19 BC-93 Pulsar turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by BC-93 Pulsar's players. Forward Olexandr Drobiazko (196-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Power forward Andriy Kulish (205-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Niko-Basket - Hoverla 65-73

The game in Mykolaiv was also worth to mention about. Hoverla (9-5) played at the court of Niko-Basket (1-13). Hoverla managed to secure a 8-point victory 73-65. Niko-Basket was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 39-29 second half run of Hoverla. They outrebounded Niko-Basket 41-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international center Roman Gumeniuk (220-87) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Yevgen Koroviyakov (197-88) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 19 points by swingman Maksym Ozhegov (190-90) did not help to save the game for Niko-Basket. Forward Sergiy Vershinin (195-95) added 12 points and 5 steals for the hosts. Zolotoi Vek - BC-93 RSzVSM 100-95

Very expected game in Kirovograd where BC-93 Pulsar (2-12) was defeated by Zolotoi Vek (11-3) 100-95. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 26-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. Zolotoi Vek shot 62.9 percent from the field. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by BC-93 Pulsar's players. Power forward Andriy Kulish (205-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The game in Mariupol supposed to be also quite interesting. Politekhn.Lvov (8-6) played at the court of Azovmash (7-7). Azovmash smashed Politekhn.Lvov 89-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Azovmash. Politekhn.Lvov managed to win third quarter 29-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al Shamal Doha (D1) added to their roster 32-year old Ukrainian international center Oleksiy Pecherov (213-106kg-85). He played last summer at Sagesse in Lebanese Pepsi LBL, but left the team in March. In 5 games he recorded 12.8ppg, 8.2rpg and 1.0bpg in 2016 season.
