   #1. This week's number one is an international center Kyrylo Fesenko (216-86, currently plays in Italy). He was the major contributor in a 1-point Scandone AV's victory against the eighth-ranked Grissin Bon RE (11-11) 90-89 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Fesenko recorded 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in 33 minutes on the court. Scandone Avellino (14-8) is placed third in the Serie A. It's Fesenko's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 11.5ppg, 7.1rpg, 2FGP: 60.3%(91-151) and FT: 57.4% in 22 games he played so far. Ex-BC Donetsk player is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Denis Ikovlev (200-86, college: Nevada, currently plays in Poland). Ikovlev led PGE Turow to a victory against one of league's weakest teams AZS Polfarmex (4-20) 109-98 in the Polish PLK last Saturday. He recorded 20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and made 3 blocks. PGE Turow Zgorzelec (13-11) is placed seventh in the PLK. This season Ikovlev has relatively solid stats: 11.5ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.3apg, 2FGP: 56.7%(51-90), 3FGP: 35.6% and FT: 88.7%. He is a naturalized American. Ikovlev played for the Ukrainian national team in 2013. Strangely he has never played in Ukraine.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Andriy Agafonov (208-86, agency: AproK Sports Group, currently plays in Baltic League). Agafonov could not help P.Zvaigzdes (11-1) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the first-placed P.Zvaigzdes (11-1) was edged 88-88 on the road by the leading Tartu Ulikool in the group B of Baltic League. Agafonov recorded 24 points, 7 rebounds in 24 minutes. Agafonov has reliable stats this year: 13.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.1apg, 1.1bpg, 2FGP: 66.3%(69-104), 3FGP: 42.9% and FT: 90.3%(65-72) in 16 games. He played for the Ukrainian national team five years ago.

   #4. Center Maksym Kozlovets (205-90, currently plays in Belarus) led COR-Borisfen to a victory over the closely-ranked Tsmoki II (18-12) 77-71 in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game. Kozlovets was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 12 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. COR-Borisfen Mogilev (26-2) is placed second in the Premier League. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Kozlovets has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.4ppg, 9.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.6spg. Kozlovets used to play for the Ukrainian U16 national team back in 2006.

   #5. International swingman Sergii Gladyr (196-88, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in France) contributed to Monaco's victory against the 14th-ranked Chalons-Reims (8-15) 81-72 in the French ProA last Saturday. He scored 6 points and added 3 assists in 25 minutes. AS Monaco Basket (20-3) is placed first in the ProA. This year Gladyr's overall stats are: 9.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg in 23 games. He plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

   #6. Center Alex Len (216-93, college: Maryland, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Phoenix Suns in their game against the Orlando Magic (25-45) in the NBA. Len recorded 9 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks. But the Phoenix Suns (22-47) were defeated 109-103 in Orlando by the Magic. It was Suns' third consecutive loss in a row. Len is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Suns' roster. His stats this season are: 7.5ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.2bpg. Len is a former international player as he played for the Ukrainian senior team two years ago.

   #7. Former international guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona, currently plays in Greece) was not able to secure a victory for Apollon Patras (5-17) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Apollon Patras was crushed 97-74 at home by the second-ranked Panathinaikos. Burtt was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 3 assists in 30 minutes. It was Apollon Patras' fifth consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Burtt has very impressive stats this year: 17.0ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.3apg in six games. He is a naturalized American. Burtt used to play for the Ukrainian national team five years ago. He played also for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

   #8. Point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 16th-ranked Olympique Antibes (7-16) crushing them 95-66 in the French ProA last Saturday. Randle recorded 16 points and added 3 passes (made all of his five free throws). Limoges CSP Elite (11-11) is placed ninth in the ProA. Randle averaged so far 11.5ppg and 7.0apg. He is a naturalized American. Randle used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2015. He played also for 90.2%; in Feb.'12 agreed terms with Azovmash Mariupol in Ukrainian league.

   #9. International center Artem Pustovyi (218-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Blusens Monbus (7-16) in their last game. Despite Pustovyi's very good performance Blusens Monbus was crushed 85-59 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked (#13) Zaragoza. He was the top scorer with 17 points in 23 minutes. This year Pustovyi's total stats are: 8.8ppg and 3.0rpg in 24 games. He is also in the roster of the Ukrainian national team.

Power forward Maxym Korniyenko (205-87, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Bulgaria) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Cherno More (5-15) crushing them 107-60 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. Korniyenko scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Lukoil Academic Sofia (17-3) is placed first in the NBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Korniyenko averaged so far 12.2ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.6apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster.

   #11. International guard Oleksandr Lypovyy (200-91, currently plays in Greece) couldn't help Aiolos Trikallon (8-14) in their last game. Despite Lypovyy's good performance Aiolos Trikallon was badly defeated 79-61 in Athens by the leading Olympiacos. He was the top scorer with 13 points. Lypovyy also added 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. Lypovyy has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.9apg in 20 games. He plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

   #12. International power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, currently plays in Poland) contributed to Rosa's victory against the closely-ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza 90-85 in the Polish PLK last Sunday. He recorded 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Zaytsev has averaged so far 5.8ppg and 5.0rpg. He is also in the roster of the Ukrainian national team.

   #13. Former University international point guard Illya Shemosiuk (188-85, currently plays in Georgia) was the main contributor in Batumi's victory against the league outsider Mgzavrebi 81-78 in the Georgian Superleague on Friday night. Shemosiuk was the best player in that game. He recorded 26 points (!!!) and added 3 passes in 36 minutes. Shemosiuk has very impressive stats this year: 17.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 2.9apg and 1.5spg in 20 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian university national team eight years ago.

   #14. Former international power forward Vitaliy Kovalenko (204-84, currently plays in Poland) faced previously mentioned Igor Zaytsev in the Polish PLK last game. Kovalenko couldn't help one of league's weakest teams MKS Dabrowa Gornicza in their game against Rosa. He recorded 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. His team was defeated 90-85. Kovalenko has averaged so far 9.3ppg and 4.0rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2008.

   #15. Former U20 international center Vladislav Korenyuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Lithuania) couldn't help Siauliai (3-24) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Siauliai was defeated 85-74 in Pasvalys by the higher-ranked P.Zvaigzdes (#7). Korenyuk was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 8 rebounds. Korenyuk averaged so far 13.7ppg and 5.8rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Dmitri Paliashchuk (199-SG-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Belarus) led BSEU-GrandPrint to a victory over the closely-ranked Tsmoki II (18-12) 76-69 in a derby game in the Belarusian Premier League on Tuesday night. Paliashchuk was the best player in that game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 11 rebounds. Paliashchuk also added 3 assists and 5 steals. BSEU-GrandPrint (12-18) is placed sixth in the Premier League. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Paliashchuk has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.0ppg, 9.8rpg, 2.8apg and 2.5spg. Paliashchuk has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Belarusian.

   #2. Ivan Kaliayev (200-F-87, currently plays in Belarus) contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Impuls BGUIR (14-14) 101-82 in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game. He recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 30 minutes. BK Grodno-93 (27-3) is placed first in the Premier League. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Kaliayev has averaged so far 9.9ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.3apg and 1.5spg in 29 games he played so far.

   #3. Bogdan Bliznyuk (198-F-95, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the E.Washington (13-5) in their last game. Despite Bliznyuk's very good performance the E.Washington lost 81-91 at home to the University of Wyoming. He recorded 29 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists in 39 minutes. The National Tournament Round 1 already ended in the NCAA. Bliznyuk has very impressive stats this year: 21.1ppg, 6.6rpg, 4.0apg and 1.1spg in 33 games.

   #4. Igor Nesterenko (203-C-90, currently plays in Israel) was not able to help Ironi Nahariya in their game against Galil Gilboa (10-12) in the Israeli Winner League. Nesterenko recorded 6 points in 17 minutes. Ironi Nahariya was edged 73-72 on their home court in Nahariya by the lower-ranked (#10) Galil Gilboa. This year Nesterenko averages only 1.8ppg in 16 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Israeli. Despite Nesterenko's Ukrainian nationality, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ukrainian team.

   #5. Anton Savitski (196-F-86, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Ardoi (15-6) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Savitski's very good performance Ardoi (#4) was defeated 72-66 on their home court in Zizur Mayor by the second-ranked Cantbasket in the Group A-A. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Savitski also added 8 rebounds. This season Savitski has very high stats. He averages: 15.2ppg, 9.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg. Savitski has both Ukrainian and Spanish nationalities.

   #6. Yurii Frasenyuk (200-F-86, currently plays in Romania) couldn't help Steaua CSM in their game against Oradea in the Romanian Liga Nationala. He scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 14 minutes. His team lost 72-80. Frasenyuk has averaged so far 4.0ppg and 2.4rpg in five games. He also holds two passports: Ukrainian and Romanian.

   #7. Igor Krivtsov (201-F-86, currently plays in Georgia) managed to help Basketball Club Batumi to win against the league outsider Mgzavrebi 81-78 in the Georgian Superleague on Friday night. Krivtsov recorded only 4 points. Krivtsov averaged so far 11.1ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg.

   #8. Artem Shelukha (198-F-87, currently plays in Germany) contributed to AstroStars' victory against the fifth-ranked Bayer Giants 77-73 in the German ProB (third division) in Saturday night's game. He recorded only 4 points in 8 minutes on the court. Shelukha has averaged so far 3.5ppg and 1.8rpg in 17 games. He has dual citizenship: Ukrainian and German.

   #9. Experienced Volodymyr Markovetskyy (211-C-0, currently plays in Lithuania) couldn't help Zalgiris II in their game against Suduva-Mantinga in the Lithuanian NKL (second division). Markovetskyy cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only one point and grabbed 4 rebounds in 7 minutes on the court. His team was crushed by 22 points 90-68. This year Markovetskyy averages only 1.5ppg in 22 games.

   #10. Anton Zraychenko (190-SF-97, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Frintrop crushing them 97-77 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) last Saturday. He scored only 2 points in 15 minutes. Zraychenko has averaged so far 2.2ppg and 2.4rpg in 18 games.

American Brandon Fields (193-G-88) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Budivelnyk and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 34. The 28-year old guard got a double-double of 21 points and ten assists, while his team outclassed Mykolaiv (#7, 11-16) with 38-point margin 118-80. 27-year old forward Maxim Nikitin (201-F-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for Niko-Basket and receives a Eurobasket.com Higher League Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage). He had a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Politekhn.Lvov (#5, 9-7) 86-98. Niko-Basket moved-up to the 8th position in Ukrainian Higher League. The Regular Season in Superleague just ended. Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Leader Budivelnyk delivered the twenty fifth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Mykolaiv (11-16) 118-80 in Kyiv. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Mykolaiv managed to win second period 22-18.
