Ukraine celebrated the first victory in Tel Aviv. They outlasted Georgia to snap two-game losing skid in Group B. Artem Pustovyi (218-C-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the winners.
Ukraine and Georgia stayed neck and neck throughout the opening frame. The Murzin's team eked out a 21:20 lead at the first break. Ukraine stepped on the gas in the second quarter. They erupted for 30 points to stretched the lead at 51:38 mark. Georgia however refused to give in. They went on a determined 25:16 rally in the third term to get within 4 points at the final break. But Ukraine poured in 21 points in the fourth period and managed to get away with a valuable victory at the end. Denys Lukashov (190-PG-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) and Oleksandr Lypovyy (200-G-91) delivered 17 points each in the win. Zaza Pachulia (211-C-84) and Giorgi Shermadini (217-C-89) provided 17 points apiece for Georgia.

BK Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny signed American center Jason Love (206-C-87, college: Xavier, agency: Two Points). 30 years old Love started last season in Halk Enerji TED Kolejliler Ankara. There he averaged 6.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 1.0 apg in 6 Turkish BSL games. In December, 2016 Love moved to BK Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny. He recorded 11.8 ppg, 7.7 rpg and 1.3 apg in 26 Ukrainian Superleague games and 9.9 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 1.1 apg in 6 Champions League games.
