We bring you last week's top performances from Ukrainians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former U16 international small forward Borys Piskus (195-98, currently plays in European Youth Basketball League), who plays in Russia. Piskus could not help Olimp 97 (1-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the 13th-placed Olimp 97 (1-3) was defeated 69-61 at home by the leading SMS PZKosz in the U20 Division 1 of EYBL. Piskus was the top scorer with 28 points. He also added 9 rebounds. Piskus' team will play only one more game in the EYBL Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Piskus played for the Ukrainian U16 national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (203-92, currently plays in Lithuania). He was not able to help P.Zvaigzdes (0-2) in their last game. Despite Bobrov's very good performance P.Zvaigzdes was crushed 106-64 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Zalgiris. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds in 20 minutes. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Bobrov's first year with the team. Bobrov has relatively good stats this season: 14.0ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 61.1%(11-18) in two games he played so far. He is in the roster of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Artem Pustovyi (218-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Spain). Pustovyi was the major contributor in a Blusens Monbus' victory against the league outsider Zaragoza (0-1) 80-74 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. He recorded 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. It was his first game for Blusens Monbus this season. His team is placed fifth in the Liga Endesa. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Pustovyi is also a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #4. Center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) led his Lithuanian team Nevezis to a victory over Rilski crushing them 91-62 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday. He was MVP of the game. Koreniuk scored 16 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Nevezis Kedainiaiis placed in the FIBA Europe Cup. It's Koreniuk's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 14.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.5apg in two games. Koreniuk used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2014.

International swingman Sergii Gladyr (196-88, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in France) managed to help AS Monaco Basket in a victory against the 14th-ranked Paris-Levallois (1-2) 77-71 in the French ProA in Saturday night's game. Gladyr recorded 5 points in 17 minutes. AS Monaco Basketis placed eighth in the ProA. This year Gladyr's overall stats are: 2.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.5apg in two games. He plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

   #6. Power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) was not able to secure a victory for Rosa in their game against Antwerp Giants (5-0) in the Basketball Champions League. Zaytsev scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was his first game for Rosa this season. Rosa was defeated 75-69 in Antwerp by the second-ranked Giants. Zaytsev is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster.

   #7. Former international forward Denis Ikovlev (200-86, college: Nevada, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) couldn't help Betaland Cdo in their game against Avtodor (4-1) in the Basketball Champions League. He cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones. Ikovlev scored only 3 points in 19 minutes. It was his first game for Betaland Cdo this season. Betaland Cdo was edged 70-69 in Saratov by the much higher-ranked (#4) Avtodor. Ikovlev is a naturalized American. He used to play for the Ukrainian national team four years ago. Strangely Ikovlev has never played in Ukraine.

Small forward Andrii Kalnichenko (201-86, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) couldn't help UBT Cluj Napoca (0-1) in their game against EnBW Ludwigsburg (5-0) in the Basketball Champions League. He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Kalnichenko scored only 3 points. UBT Cluj Napoca was defeated 78-72 in Ludwigsburg by the leading EnBW. The Qualifying Round already ended in the Basketball Champions League. This season Kalnichenko averages: 2.5ppg and 2.0rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian university national team back in 2009.

   #9. An experienced U18 international small forward Andriy Grytsak (198-0, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Estudiantes B (0-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Grytsak's good performance Estudiantes B (#14) was defeated 70-64 in Santa Cruz de Ten. by the much higher-ranked Nautico KIA Tenerife (#4) in the Group B. He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Grytsak also added made 3 passes and 5 steals. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Grytsak's total stats this season are: 8.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.0apg and 3.0spg. He is also in the roster of the Ukrainian U18 national team.

   #10. Forward Konstantyn Glazyrin (202-88, currently plays in Russia) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Ryazan (0-2) crushing them 92-63 in the Russian Superleague 1 (second division) in Tuesday night's game. Glazyrin recorded only 2 points in 5 minutes on the court. It was his first game for TEMP-SUMZ Revda this season. His team is placed first in the Superleague 1. Glazyrin is a former international player as six years ago he still played for the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #1. Denys Dymchenko (98, currently plays in European Youth Basketball League) led his Russian team Runa to a victory over the 20th-ranked TBV Start (0-5) crushing them 86-42 in the EYBL in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Dymchenko scored 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in a mere 17 minutes. BC Runa Moscow U20 team (3-2) is placed seventh in U20 Division 1. The Regular Season already ended in the EYBL.

   #2. Dmitri Paliashchuk (205-F-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) managed to help Tsmoki-Minsk to win against the 26th-ranked Budivelnyk (0-1) 60-53 in the Basketball Champions League on Tuesday night. He recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Tsmoki-Minsk (4-0) is placed third in the Basketball Champions League. So far his team won all four games in the Qualifying Round. They will play only one more game in the Basketball Champions League Qualifying Round. And that game will be critical. This season Paliashchuk averages: 4.4ppg and 2.6rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Belarusian.

   #3. Artem Shelukha (198-F-87, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Hertener Loewen's victory against the 13th-ranked Kamp-Lintfort (0-3) 71-67 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) last Sunday. Shelukha scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. Hertener Loewen Basketball (3-0) is placed second in West group. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Shelukha's total stats are: 8.0ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.3apg in three games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and German.

Ukrainian international forward Maksym Pustozvonov (200-SF-87) selected number 17 pick overall by Memphis Hustle in G-League draft. Last season 30 years old Pustozvonov played for U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca. He averaged 8.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg and 0.8 apg in 34 Romanian Liga Nationala games and 8.6 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 1.2 apg in 11 FIBA Europe Cup. Pustozvonov played for Ukraine National team at EuroBasket-2017. He recorded 5.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 1.0 apg in 6 games and helped his team to reac...   [read more]

Joel Bolomboy joins the Bucks on two-way deal - 19 hours ago
Milwaukee Bucks agreed on terms of a two-way deal with 23-year old Ukrainian international forward Joel Bolomboy (206-107kg-94, college: Weber State). He was tested by Utah Jazz, but was not approved after all. The last season Bolomboy played at another team Salt Lake City Stars where in 24 games he had very impressive stats: 16.4ppg, 13.2rpg (leader !!!), 1.8apg and 1.2bpg. Efianayi number one in Ukraine for round 5 - 1 day ago
American Swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-G/F-94) had a very impressive game in the last round for Bipa Basket, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 5. The 23-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Mykolaiv (#5, 2-3) 78-66.
