City of Sheffield Hatters retained their playoff championship trophy. The second team of the Regular Season edged UWIC Archers 93:72 in Manchester.
City of Sheffield Hatters started better and took 22:12 after the first 10 minutes when Collins closed the period. Rose Anderson (175-G-88, college: Cent.Oklahoma) reduced to 37:27 midway through the second frame. Sheffield were out of the blocks quickly, taking a double digit lead into the second quarter and when Stef Collins hit a buzzer beater at the half it was 41:33 to Hatters.
City of Sheffield Hatters won also the third period 26-17 and led 67:50 after thirty minutes. Naomi Campbell later made 90:68 and she was the last to score also for the winning side. Naomi Campbell made a shot and then went on a free throw line to close the game for 93:72.
Stephanie Gandy (178-F-82, college: Michigan) top-scored for the winners with 20 points, while Sarah Naylor (183-F-83) and Helen Naylor (180-F-87) netted 19 each. Lauren Thomas-Johnson (178-G-88, college: Marquette) followed them with 13 points. Rose Anderson ended up with 26 points in the losing effort and Meagan Hoffman (183-F-82, college: Adams St.) posted 14.
