Germany rout Great Britain at the International Tournament. The German side overcame the Standard Life GB Women's team 68:54. Britain briefly led in the opening quarter but eventually went as much as 18 behind as the Germans stormed ahead. Romy Bar (189-F-87) led her team to a 10-0 run to take lead 34-18 at half-time. Great Britain reduced the gap midway through the third quarter to 38:29 and trailed 9 points after three quarters. Germany led 12 points with 5 minutes to go and increased to final 68:54. Anne Breitreiner (183-G/F-84, agency: LBM Management) top-scored for the winners with 17 points, while Romy Bar netted 14. Firkel scored 12 and Sarah Austmann (179-G/F-85) as well as Hardin delivered 6 apiece. Johannah Leedham ended up with 11 points in the losing effort. Stephanie Gandy (178-F-82, college: Michigan) and FACHELLE followed her with 8 points each. GB now face Ukraine in their second game on Saturday before finishing the tournament against Belgium on Sunday.

Belarus NT twice beat United Kingdom in the friendly campaigns in order to prepare better for Eurobasket 2013. The Belarusian players posted two victories and won already three friendly games. Earlier the team overcame Latvia 63:47.

Johannah Leedham (180-SF-87, college: Franklin Pierce) wins the title with Bourges as the latter claimed the third straight LFB title in France. They overcame Lattes Montpellier for the second straight road win tonight to bring home the 12th overall LFB trophy. Nwal-Endene Miyem stepped up with 16 points to lead the winners. Bourges are now one title away from LFB most successful team Clermont-Ferrand (13 titles).

They jumped to a comfortable 15:9 lead after the opening quarter. Bourges boosted the lead in the second frame. The visitors accumulated a 37:29 halftime buffer. Celine Dumerc opened a double-digit lead for the visiting team midway through the third term. Lattes Montpellier managed to get within 8 points 43:51 at the final intermission. But Bourges did not allow the hosts to get any closer. The visitors boosted the gap to 15 points in the fourth period and never looked back en route to the win. Celine Dumerc finished with 12 points, while Emmeline Ndongue added 11 points and 7 rebounds for Bourges. Geraldine Robert responded with 15 points for Lattes Montpellier. Ana Lelas delivered 13 points in the loss.
