Russian National Team played another friendly game prior to the start of Olympic Qualifying Tournament. They faced Great Britain in San Antonio. Russia claimed a comfortable win behind 16 points from Timofey Mozgov (216-C-86, agency: Ryzhov Stanislav).
Great Britain entered the game without Luol Deng, Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Joel Freeland and Archibald. Russia capitalized taking over right from the start. David Blatt team eased in front in the first half and never looked back en route to the victory. Vitaly Fridzon (195-G-85, agency: Alti Sport) accounted for 13 points for Russia. Sergey Monya (203-F-83) and Andrei Kirilenko (205-F-81) added 11 points each for the winners. Daniel Clark (210-F/C-88, agency: Interperformances) answered with 12 points for Great Britain. Eric Boateng (208-C-85, agency: Interperformances, college: Arizona St.) finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds in the loss. The teams are scheduled to meet again on June 28th in Houston.
