Slovenia U16 - England U16 83:69

Slovenia posted the first win at the U16 European Championship. They knocked down England to improve at 1-1 record in Group G. Nejc Zupan (203-PG-96) came up with 19 points to lead the charge.
Slovenia led by 6 points at the first intermission 22:16. England cut the deficit in the second quarter. They narrowed the gap at just 2-point mark at the interval 38:40. England denied the deficit in the third term. They knotted things up at 56 with ten minutes remaining. However Slovenia tipped off the fourth frame on a 14:2 run to clear off. They never looked back again cruising to the victory at the end. Matej Kavas (193-G-96) had 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Grega Sajevic (183-SG-96) added 15 points for the winners. Joe Mvuezolo (193-SF-96) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds for England. Ikponmwosa Oghide (96) and Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye (191-SG-96) netted 13 points each in the loss.

Zak Wells (ex Hopsi Polzela) signs at London Lions - 2 days ago

London Lions (BBL) landed 23-year old British international center Zak Wells (213-93). He already started the season at Hopsi Polzela in Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. In 7 games he averaged 6.0ppg and 2.7rpg this season. Wells also spent pre-season at Mens Sana 1871 Siena (Serie A) in Italian league earlier that year. Bottom-ranked Westminster W. is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to tenth ranked Lancashire S (4-6) 95-86 on Saturday evening.
