U18 UNITED KINGDOM - U18 BELARUS 74-76

Belarus is the gold medal winner in Strumica. They grabbed 76-74 victory over UK in the Big Final of U18 EuroBasket Division B. The Silver belongs to UK and both teams won the promotion for Division A. Belarus was 76-72 up with 1:56 remaining in the game and both teams missed twice in their next possessions. Ashleigh Munns finally made a jump shot for UK with 50 seconds to go. Holubeva missed for Belarus and Joseph was blocked at the other side of the court. Shequila Joseph (189-F-95) had another chance in the finish, but she missed a hook and Belarus grabbed gold medal in Strumica. Quarters: 14-18, 17-20, 24-21, 21-15. Hanna Kalenta (190-C-94) shined for the winners with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Maryia Papova (186-PF-94) had 19 points and 6 assists, while Alena Holubeva (176-PG-94) helped her team with 17 points. In UK, Joseph top-scored with 22 points and Cheridene Green (187-C-95) added 14 pts, plus 14 rebs. Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott (183-PG-95) was the second player in UK with 14 points. Portugal won the Bronze in Strumica.
