Great Britain U20 continues the preparation for European Championship. The team participated at Caorle tournament in Italy
Portugal U20 outscored Great Britain U20 52:51. The latter grabbed 13-11 after the first period, while Portugal erupted with 22-11 in the second frame. Great Britain dominated the second but two narrow victories were not enough for the total success. Daniela Domingues (176-G/F-92) top-scored for the winners with 11 points and Joana Jesus (173-G-93) posted 10. Erin McGarrachan (182-G-92) replied with 11 points in the losing effort.
Italy U20 overcame Great Britain U20 53:46. The latter won the opening tip 9:4, but the hosts took control of the game later in the half. They needed a strong push to take 30:20 at the halftime. Later on Italy held the necessary win and reached 7-point victory. Giovanna Pertile (182-F-92) stepped up with 11 points and Francesca Dotto (170-PG-93) as well as Irene Cigliani posted 9 each. Virginia Galbiati (173-G-92) delivered 8, while Nene Diene had 7.
