U20 LATVIA - U20 UNITED KINGDOM 77-56

Latvia made a first step forward to survival in U20 EuroBasket Division A. They handed 77-56 loss to UK for 1-0 record in Group G. Participants of this pool are also Italy and Portugal and only the group winner will avoid relegation to Division B. Latvia took control on its rival from the beginning and never looked back. Quarters: 23-13, 13-9, 23-19, 18-15. Dita Rozenberga (181-F-92) scored 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the winners. Krista Bridina (174-PG-94) (5 as) and Sabine Dukate (174-F-93) netted 14 points each. In UK, Francesca Whitby (175-G-92) and Rosie Hynes (172-G-93) delivered 13 and 12 pts respectively. Olufemi Hamilton (170-G-93) stopped to 10 points. Latvia will play against Portugal in the next game, while UK will meet Italy.
