Mersin BSH Bld (TKBL) signed 25-year old British international center Chantelle Handy (191-87, college: Marshall). Handy played last season at Athinaikos in Greek A1 league. In 15 A1 games last year she had 13.5ppg, 5.1rpg and 2.3apg. She helped them to win the title and the cup. A very impressive season as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Bosman Player of the Year and named to 1st Team.
Handy has been also a member of British international program for some years. She has played for Senior National Team since 2008 and previously for University National Team between 2009 and 2011. Handy represented United Kingdom at the Olympic Games in London (United Kingdon) this year. Her stats at that event were 5 games: 1.8ppg.
She attended Marshall University until 2010 and it will be her third season as a professional player.
