We bring you last week's top performances from British players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Luol Deng
Luol Deng
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Luol Deng (206-85, agency: Interperformances, college: Duke, currently plays in NBA). He led Chicago Bulls to a victory over the Orlando Magic (2-1) 99-93 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Deng was MVP of the game. He scored 23 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 38 minutes on the court. The Chicago Bulls have 3-1 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Deng's ninth year with the team. Deng has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.8ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.8apg, 2FGP: 53.7%, 3FGP: 9.1% and FT: 72.7% in the four games he played so far. Deng has a dual citizenship: British and Sudanese. He is currently a member of the British senior national team.

Dante Cunningham
Dante Cunningham
#2. Second place goes to former international forward Dante Cunningham (203-87, college: Villanova, currently plays in NBA). He contributed to a Minnesota Timberwolves' victory against the Brooklyn Nets (1-1) 107-96 in the NBA on Monday night. Cunningham had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 26 minutes. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 2-1 record this season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Cunningham has relatively good stats this year: 7.3ppg, 7.3rpg, 2FGP: 41.7% in the three games. He is a naturalized American. Cunningham played for the British national team in 2008. Strangely he has never played in United Kingdom.

Ben Gordon
Ben Gordon
#3. The British player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Ben Gordon (188-83, college: Connecticut, currently plays in NBA). He helped Charlotte Bobcats edge the Indiana Pacers (2-2) 90-89 in the NBA last Friday. Gordon recorded 10 points in 22 minutes. The Charlotte Bobcats have 1-1 record this season. It's Gordon's first year with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 8.0ppg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 44.4% in the two games. Gordon is a naturalized American. He is also a member of the British senior national team. Apparently Gordon has never played in United Kingdom.

Laurence Ekperigin
#4. Forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian Lega2 (second division) could not help FCM Ferentino (1-4) in their last game. Despite Ekperigin's very good performance FCM Ferentino lost 83-97 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#7) Sigma Barcellona. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds in 35 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Ekperigin's third season in pro basketball. Ekperigin is ranked third on the list of the best rebounders in the league and also on the list of best blockers (fifth place). He has very impressive stats this year: 18.2ppg, 10.6rpg, 1.2bpg and 2.6spg in the five games. Ekperigin is a naturalized American. He used to play for the British national team last year. Interesting that Ekperigin has never played in United Kingdom.
