This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in EBL D1 and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds.

EBL D1 top team - Bradford D. (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Worthing Thunder (0-4) 95-67. Bradford D. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Worthing Thunder's 38 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Bradford D. forced 22 Worthing Thunder turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Worthing Thunder's players. It was a good game for Latvian forward Rihards Sulcs (190-87) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. American point guard Bobby Edmunds (180-88, college: Widener) contributed with 9 points and 11 assists for the winners. American forward Hank Rivers (203-81, college: SF Austin) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds for Worthing Thunder. Bradford D. have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory Bradford D. went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Reading R. and Leeds Carnegie. Worthing Thunder at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Derby T.. Bradford D. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Worthing Thunder will play at home against Leeds Carnegie (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Important game to mention about took place in Derby. Tenth ranked Westminster W. (1-1) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging bottom-ranked Derby Trailblazers (0-4) 77-74 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for forward Yannick Bulambwe (196) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Leon Bennett-Harris helped adding 21 points. The best for the losing side was guard Martyn Gayle (-89) with 25 points. Westminster W. left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Northumbria. Derby Trailblazers at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Worthing T.. Westminster W. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Derby Trailblazers will play on the road against the league's leader Bristol Acadamy Flyers (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
The game between ninth ranked Leicester Warriors (1-3) and 12th ranked Brixton Topcats (1-3) in Leicester on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Leicester Warriors outscored guests from Brixton 80-45. Leicester Warriors maintains ninth place with 1-3 record, which they share with Brixton T. and Medway Park. It was Brixton Topcats' third loss in a row. Leicester Warriors will meet higher ranked London Leopards (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brixton Topcats will play against Medway Park in Gillingham and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 3 Medway Park lost to undefeated Reading R. on the road 74-80. Winless Hemel Storm lost to undefeated Bristol AF on its own court 88-94.

Derby T. - Westminster W. 74-77

Important game to mention about took place in Derby. Tenth ranked Westminster W. (1-1) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging bottom-ranked Derby Trailblazers (0-4) 77-74 on Saturday evening. Westminster W. made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Derby Trailblazers outrebounded Westminster W. 40-17 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Reading R. - Medway Park 80-74

No shocking result in a game when leader Reading Rockets (3-0) beat at home 10th ranked Medway Park (1-3) 80-74 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Reading Rockets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Bradford D. and Leeds Carnegie. Medway Park lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Brixton T. and Leicester W.. Reading Rockets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Medway Park will play against Brixton Topcats (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Hemel Storm - Bristol AF 88-94

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Hemel Storm (0-2) lost at home to leader Bristol Acadamy Flyers (4-0) 94-88 on Saturday. Bristol Acadamy Flyers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Newly promoted Hemel Storm still closes the standings with two games lost. Bristol Acadamy Flyers will meet at home Derby Trailblazers (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hemel Storm will have a break next round.

The game between ninth ranked Leicester Warriors (1-3) and 12th ranked Brixton Topcats (1-3) in Leicester on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Leicester Warriors outscored guests from Brixton 80-45. Leicester Warriors maintains ninth place with 1-3 record, which they share with Brixton T. and Medway Park. It was Brixton Topcats' third loss in a row. Leicester Warriors will meet higher ranked London Leopards (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
