Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of British players who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Ben Gordon (188-83, college: Connecticut, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Charlotte Bobcats (3-3) in their last game. Despite Gordon's very good performance the Charlotte Bobcats lost 99-107 on the road to the New Orleans Hornets. He was the top scorer with 34 points. Gordon also added 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 35 minutes on the court. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Gordon has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 14.6ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.8apg, 2FGP: 47.6%, 3FGP: 42.9% in the five games he played so far. Gordon is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the British senior national team. Strangely Gordon has never played in United Kingdom.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Luol Deng (206-85, agency: Interperformances, college: Duke, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He was not able to help the Chicago Bulls (4-3) in their last game on Monday. Despite Deng's very good performance the Chicago Bulls were defeated 101-95 in Boston by the Celtics. He recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 11 rebounds. Deng also added 3 assists. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Deng's ninth year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Deng averages: 18.9ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.9apg, 2FGP: 55.4%(46-83), 3FGP: 22.7% and FT: 75.8%. He has a dual citizenship: British and Sudanese. Deng is in the roster of the British senior national team.

   #3. The British player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Dante Cunningham (203-87, college: Villanova, currently plays in NBA). Cunningham led Minnesota Timberwolves to a victory against the Dallas Mavericks (4-4) 90-82 in the NBA in Monday night's game. He scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. The Minnesota Timberwolves have a solid 5-2 record this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. It's Cunningham's first year with the team. Cunningham has relatively good stats this season: 9.3ppg, 6.0rpg, 2FGP: 53.6% and FT: 62.5%. He is a naturalized American. Cunningham played for the British national team four years ago. Apparently he has never played in United Kingdom.

Forward Myles Hesson (195-90, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProB (third division) was not able to secure a victory for Weissenhorn Youngstars (4-3) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Hesson's very good performance the fifth-placed Weissenhorn Youngstars was crushed 93-72 in Leverkusen by the lower-ranked Bayer Giants (#8) in the Group South. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 11 rebounds. This season Hesson has very high stats. He averages: 15.9ppg and 7.7rpg. Hesson is also British national team player.

Former international power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, agency: Top Notch Sports, college: Bellarmine, currently plays in Japan) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (1-9) crushing them 108-66 in the Japanese BJ League in Saturday night's game. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 23 minutes. Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa (8-0) is placed first in Western group. So far his team won all eight games in the Regular Season. This year Larkai's overall stats are: 6.6ppg and 4.6rpg in the seven games. He used to play for the British national team four years ago.

Center Fahro Alihodzic (208-89, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an UAB's surprising victory against the Young Harris College (2-0) crushing them 105-59 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Alihodzic scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 22 minutes. The University of Alabama at Birmingham has conference record this season. It's Alihodzic's first year with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 12.5ppg and 7.0rpg in the two games. Alihodzic is a former U20 international player as he played for the British team three years ago.

Former international power forward Tafari Toney (203-86, currently plays in France), who plays in the French ProB (second division) couldn't help Charleville-Mezieres (3-5) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his very good performance Charleville-Mezieres was badly defeated 81-63 in Evreux by the higher-ranked ALM Evreux (#3). Toney was the second best scorer with 15 points (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line). Toney has reliable stats this season: 11.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.6apg and 1.7spg. He is a naturalized American. Toney used to play for the British national team three years ago. He played also for Newcastle Eagles in British league.

   #8. Guard Andrew Lawrence (185-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Towson University 75-58 in the NCAA in Friday night's game. Lawrence recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his six free throws) in 29 minutes. The College of Charleston has conference record this season. Lawrence is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Charleston's roster. His stats this season are: 13.0ppg, 5.3rpg and 4.6apg in the nine games. Lawrence plays currently for the British national team.

   #9. International forward Ashley Hamilton (201-88, is currently at the American university), who plays in the NCAA couldn't help the Loyola Mary in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the Loyola Mary was defeated 73-58 in Dallas, TX by the Southern Methodist University. Hamilton scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Hamilton has been at the team for five years. He averaged so far 13.0ppg, 5.3rpg and 4.6apg. Hamilton used to play for the British national team last year.

   #10. Forward Joel Freeland (208-87, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Portland Trail Blazers (3-5) in their game against the Los Angeles Clippers (4-2) in the NBA. He cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. Freeland recorded only 2 points in 2 minutes on the court. The Portland Trail Blazers lost 90-103 in Los Angeles to the Clippers. It was Trail Blazers' fourth consecutive loss in a row. It's Freeland's first season with the team. This year his total stats are: 1.2ppg and 2.0rpg in the five games. Freeland is an international player who is currently on the senior British National Team roster.

   #11. Former U20 international forward Will Neighbour (208-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the University of Tennessee at Martin 84-68 in the NCAA in Friday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Neighbour also added 3 assists. He has averaged so far 1.2ppg and 2.0rpg. Neighbour used to play for the British U20 national team two years ago.

   #12. International point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A couldn't help Etha (2-2) in their last game. Despite his good performance Etha lost 90-94 in a derby game to the second-ranked Omonia. Adegboye scored 12 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 38 minutes. Adegboye is ranked seventh on the list of the best passers in the league with 3.7apg. This year he also averages: 9.7ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.7spg in the three games. Adegboye is also in the roster of the British national team.

   #13. Former international guard Jarrett Hart (194-80, college: Kansas St., currently plays in Cyprus) contributed to AEK's victory against the closely-ranked AEL 84-78 in the Cypriot Division A on Friday night. He scored 11 points. Hart has averaged so far 5.7ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.0apg. He is a naturalized American. Hart used to play for the British national team three years ago. Interesting that he has never played in United Kingdom.

   #14. International center Eric Boateng (208-85, also represented by Interperformances, college: Arizona St., currently plays in Germany) couldn't help New Yorker Phantoms in their game against Deutsche Bank Skyliners in the German BBL. Boateng scored 8 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 27 minutes. His team was edged 61-59. He has averaged so far 5.0ppg and 5.3rpg in the eight games. Boateng plays currently for the British national team.

   #15. International power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, currently plays in Euroleague) couldn't help Asseco Prokom Gdynia in their game against Montepaschi Siena in the Euroleague. He cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones. Richards scored only 3 points. It was his first game for Asseco Prokom Gdynia this season. His team was crushed by 35 points 101-66. He used to play for the British national team last year.

   #1. Byron Mullens (213-C-89, college: Ohio St., currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Charlotte Bobcats (3-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Charlotte Bobcats lost 110-117 on the road to the Phoenix Suns. Mullens was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 8 rebounds in 37 minutes. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Mullens has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 11.2ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.3apg in the six games he played so far. Mullens is a naturalized American. Apparently he has never played in United Kingdom.

   #2. Daryl Corletto (193-G-81, currently plays in Australia) led New Zealand Breakers to a victory over the league outsider Townsville Crocodiles (0-8) 81-72 in the Australian NBL last Friday. Corletto was MVP of the game. He scored 19 points in 24 minutes. New Zealand Breakers (6-1) are placed first in the NBL. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Corletto's overall stats are: 9.4ppg and 1.9rpg in the seven games. He has a dual citizenship: British and Australian. Despite Corletto's British passport, he previously played for the Australian U22 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the British team.

   #3. Oladapo Ayuba (198-F-86, college: UMKC, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in Sweden was not able to help Norrkoping Dolphins (1-1) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Ayuba's good performance Norrkoping Dolphins (#2) was defeated 72-68 on the opponent's court by the leading Ventspils in the group C of EuroChallenge. He was the top scorer with 14 points. Ayuba also added 5 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Ayuba is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Norrkoping Dolphins' roster. This season he has relatively solid stats: 12.5ppg and 7.0rpg. Ayuba is a naturalized American. Interesting that he has never played in United Kingdom.

   #4. Keith Rendleman (203-F-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to NC-Wilmington's victory against the University of North Carolina - Asheville 67-59 in the NCAA last Sunday. Rendleman scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 27 minutes. The Univ. of N.Carolina-Wilmington has conference record this season. Rendleman is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in NC-Wilmington's roster. His stats this season are: 11.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.6apg and 1.7spg in the nine games.

   #5. Experienced Sullivan Phillips (198-G/F-79, college: Wash.Adventist, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a BG Goettingen's victory against one of league's weakest teams Oettinger Rockets Gotha (2-7) 82-69 in the German ProA (second division) on Saturday night. Phillips scored 13 points and added 5 assists. BG Goettingen (7-2) is placed first in the ProA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Phillips' stats this season are: 13.0ppg, 5.3rpg and 4.6apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Bermudas and British.

   #6. Paul Guede (195-G/F-87, agency: Interperformances, college: Portland St., currently plays in Germany) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sullivan Phillips and both played together in the last German ProA game. Guede helped BG Goettingen win their game against one of league's weakest teams Oettinger Rockets Gotha 82-69. He scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 23 minutes. Guede has averaged so far 8.1ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.7apg in the nine games.

   #7. Lee Jeka (187-G-83, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany) helped Science City Jena win their game against the closely-ranked ETB Wohnbau 93-82 in the German ProA (second division) on Sunday night. He scored 11 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Jeka averaged so far 12.7ppg, 3.4rpg and 4.1apg. He has both British and Australian nationalities.

   #8. Michael Ochereobia (203-C, currently studies in the States) helped W.Illinois win their game against the Wabash College crushing them 71-39 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Ochereobia scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He averaged so far 12.7ppg, 3.4rpg and 4.1apg.

   #9. Teddy Okereafor (190-G-92, is currently at the American university) managed to help Virginia Commonwealth University to win against the Florida Gulf Coast University crushing them 80-57 in the NCAA on Friday night. Okereafor recorded only 3 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. He averaged so far 12.7ppg, 3.4rpg and 4.1apg.

   #10. Brendon Polyblank (197-G/F-78, college: Texas St., currently plays in Switzerland) helped Fribourg win their game against the seventh-ranked BBC Nyon crushing them 92-64 in the Swiss LNA on Saturday night. Polyblank scored only 3 points and added 3 passes in 20 minutes. His stats this year are: 10.2ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.3spg in the six games. Polyblank also holds two passports: British and New Zealand.
