After seeing his side pick up a pair of wins over the weekend, London Lions' coach Vince Macaulay is delighted with the progress his new look club have made.

"We are delighted to come away with two wins over the weekend" said Macaulay who took over the coaching reigns at the Lions for the sixth time in the summer.

"It has been important for us to establish the Lions in London and I feel we are now getting somewhere, the fans identify with us the players are slowly coming around to my way of thinking and considering we are just ten weeks old, it's a remarkable achievement."

Lions certainly did it the hard way on Friday night as they fought back from a 19-point first period deficit to defeat Worcester Wolves 94-76 at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.

"As seems to be the pattern of late, we were diabolical in the first half," admitted the Lions play-caller. "The Wolves shot the ball as well as any team that has come down to Crystal Palace, we were chasing shadows, we knew though that we could eventually wear them out and that was what we did.

"I thought Masiulis was excellent in the first half and the ever dynamic Kaslauskas gave a shooting clinic."

Having scored 22 points on Friday, Orlan Jackman continued his impressive rookie BBL season with a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds in Sunday's 86-60 win against Mersey Tigers, but Macaulay wasn't overly happy with their performance:

"Against Tigers we never got out of first gear, I was disappointed with our attitude to the game and we must do better. Duane James worked hard and Orlan Jackman hauled in 15 boards, but I can't really say anyone stood out for us.

"I knew Tigers' Martin Calvo was good but on this display he was the best player on the court for either team."

Lions now have a week off before hosting UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders on Friday December 7, tip-off 7.30pm.

KB Kosice (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American point guard Rahmon Fletcher (177-88, college: Green Bay). He has played for the last three seasons at Newcastle Eagles Esh Group in British BBL league. In 38 games he was second best scorer with impressive 20.8ppg and had 2.2rpg, 6.7apg (leader !!!) and 1.4spg last season. Leeds Force signs rookie Jordan Cook in his first year in pro basketball - 23 hours ago
Leeds Force (BBL) strengthened their roster with addition of British forward Jordan Cook (188). Cook just graduated from University of Maine at Presque Isle (NCAA3). He has played there for the last four years. In 19 games he recorded 5.5ppg and 3.1rpg last season.
