Stefan Gill
BBL Team of the Week Week 15

Our last line-up of the calendar year contains two debutantes and only the second player to reach five appearances.

Stefan Gill (173-PG-83) (Manchester Giants)

The guard makes his BBL Team of the Week debut after instigating a remarkable second-half performance by the Giants to storm to a win against Mersey Tigers, having initially trailed by double-digits during the first-half. Gill posted a near flawless performance in an impressive 24 point haul, making four of five from long-range, sinking every one of his free-throws and not making a single turnover all night to cement his place.

Zaire Taylor (193-G-86, college: Missouri) (Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders)

Its a second appearance of the season for the Riders guard, having appeared back during week nine. This latest slot came by way of an all-action performance in the BBL Trophy against Essex Leopards. Taylor was in fine form at both ends of the court, managing to score an efficient 16 points as well as dishing up two assists. He also did the business defensively, with a super five steals to go with five rebounds and a blocked shot.

Shawn Myers (198-G/F-69, college: W.Georgia) (Cheshire Phoenix)

The oldest player in the BBL, the Phoenix forward has showed he has still got a terrific game and can be a big factor after claiming his first berth in our line-up. Myers provided the most telling contribution in his teams fantastic road win at London Lions by accumulating a wonderful double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds. His display was enough to catapult the Cheshire club into the quarter-finals of the BBL Trophy.

Kareem Maddox (202-F/C-89, college: Princeton) (Newcastle Eagles)

There are few more in-form players in the BBL than the Eagles forward and Maddox enjoyed another fruitful weekend with his now customary double-double. He racked up the best display of the weekend and indeed one of the best of any player this season, with a picture perfect shooting performance. He made nine of nine from the floor which helped him to pour in 19 points to go with his 15 rebounds. He added an excellent five assists and two steals for good measure and becomes only the second player to make our line-up five times this season.

Arturas Masiulis (210-C-80) (Worcester Wolves)

The Lithuanian centre grabs his second BBL Team of the Week appearance just three weeks after making his debut. He also claimed a very impressive double-double. Masiulis proved to be unstoppable under the hoop against UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders and was the MVP of the game with 22 points and 10 rebounds. He also came up with three big blocks and a steal to help his team into the last eight of the BBL Trophy.

Off The Bench Adrien Sturt (London Lions), Andrew Sullivan (Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders), Darius Defoe (Newcastle Eagles), Javarris Barnett (UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders), Mike Baldarelli (Durham Wildcats), Gabe Haskins (Cheshire Phoenix)
