American Demetrius Jemison (203-F-87, agency: Interperformances) had a great game in the last round for Sheffield S. and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19. The 25-year old forward had the game-high 22 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Sheffield S. in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Mersey Tigers (#12, 0-17) with 35-point margin 99-64. Sheffield S. is placed at 7th position in British BBL. Sheffield S. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-10 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Jemison as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Demetrius Jemison averages this season 10.1ppg and 6.9rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 35-year old American forward Sterling Davis (200-F-77) of Glasgow Rocks. Davis impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Glasgow Rocks cruised to a 92-82 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Manchester G. (#10, 6-12). This victory allowed Glasgow Rocks to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Davis is one of the most experienced players at Glasgow Rocks and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Tayo Ogedengbe (198-F-87) of London Lions (#9). Ogedengbe scored 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Ogedengbe's great performance London Lions lost 87-88 to slightly higher-ranked Cheshire P. (#8, 7-11). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of London Lions not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 13 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ogedengbe could try to bring London Lions' a little bit higher in the standings. Ogedengbe has individually a great season in United Kingdom. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.4ppg (6th best).
Other top performing players last week: 4. Gareth Murray (201-F-84) of Glasgow Rocks - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists 5. Bryan Holmes (180-PG-88) of Sheffield S. - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists 6. Pavol Losonsky (203-F-88) of Leicester R. - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists 7. Drew Sullivan (203-F-80) of Leicester R. - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists 8. Alif Bland (203-C-89) of Cheshire P. - 22 points and 4 rebounds 9. Michael Martin (200-F-74) of London Lions - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists 10. Adrien Sturt (209-C-86) of London Lions - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

This season's NBA Global Games slate will once again feature a regular-season contest in London, with the Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets getting tapped to head across the pond and square off at O2 Arena on Jan. 12, 2017. 'We are thrilled to return for our seventh regular-season game in London,' NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. 'With almost 25 percent of players in the NBA born outside of the United States, we are seeing firsthand the global growth of our game, which has never been more popular in the U.K.' While Indiana has played preseason contests in China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Germany and Spain, this marks the first time that the Pacers have headed overseas for regular-season duty and, as it happens, they'll be following in the footsteps of their NFL counterpart, the Indianapolis Colts, who'll take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in October. The chance to watch Paul George (6'9''-G/F-90, college: Fresno St.), one of the stars of the U.S. men's national basketball team heavily favored to win gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro next month, figures to be one of the signature draws for the London audience. It's the Nuggets' roster, though, that features plenty of European flair, led by Italian scorer Danilo Gallinari, a pair of talented Southeastern European centers in Serbia's Nikola Jokic and Bosnia's Jusuf Nurkic (7'0''-C-94), and Frenchmen Joffrey Lauvergne (6'11''-PF-91, agency: BeoBasket) and Axel Toupane (6'6''-G/F-92, agency: Comsport). Denver also features talented young guards Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris and 2016 first-round pick Jamal Murray, as well as power forward Kenneth Faried (6'8''-F-89, college: Morehead St.), who won gold as a member of Team USA at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain. 'It will be a true honor and a great experience to represent both the Nuggets and the NBA in London as part of the NBA Global Games in 2017,' Gallinari said in a statement. 'Our entire team and organization are looking forward to this opportunity to showcase our league to fans overseas.' This will be the NBA's seventh regular-season game in London. Last year's edition saw the Toronto Raptors knock off the Orlando Magic; games from earlier years have featured the New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons, making the Nuggets the first Western Conference team ever to make the trip for a 'home' game far, far away from home. The 2017 Global Games calendar will also once again include a return to Mexico City. The Phoenix Suns will play 'host' to both the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs in mid-January, marking the first time ever that the NBA has played two regular-season games in Mexico.
