Barking Abbey inks Azania Stewart - Feb 3, 2013

Barking Abbey Leopards (EBL) agreed terms with 24-year old British ex-international center Azania Stewart (195-89, college: Florida). She started the season at Caja Rural in Spanish LF2 league. In 10 LFB games this season she had 5.7ppg and 1.9rpg. The last season Stewart played at the University of Florida in Southeastern Conference in the NCAA. In 33 games last year she recorded 6.3ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.1apg, 1.2spg and 2.1bpg.
She was also a member of British international program for some years. Stewart played for British Senior National Team between 2010 and 2012 and previously for University National Team in 2009. She represented United Kingdom at the Olympic Games in London (United Kingdon) last year.
Stewart graduated from University of Florida in 2012 and it is her first season as a professional player.
