Sterling
Davis
35-year old forward Sterling Davis (200-F-77) had a great game in the last round for Glasgow Rocks and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 24.
He had the game-high 30 points adding four rebounds and six assists for Glasgow Rocks in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Durham W. (#10, 8-16) with 26-point margin 99-73. Glasgow Rocks is placed at 3rd position in British league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Glasgow Rocks will need more victories to improve their 16-8 record. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Glasgow Rocks, through which he has constantly improved. Sterling Davis averages this season 11.0ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Andrew Keister (205-F-88, agency: Interperformances) of Durham W.. He is American forward in his first season at Durham W.. In the last game Keister recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Durham W. lost that game 73-99 to the higher-ranked Glasgow Rocks (#3, 16-8). Durham W. is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-16 record. Keister is a newcomer at Durham W. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Charles Smith (198-F-75) of league's second-best Newcastle E.. Smith scored 26 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Newcastle E., leading his team to a 96-79 easy win against #4 ranked Plymouth R. in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Newcastle E. as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 18 victories and only two lost games.. Smith has a great season in United Kingdom. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (3rd best). Charles Smith has also British passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Drew Sullivan (203-F-80) of Leicester R. - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Mike Tuck (201-F-83) of Sheffield S. - 22 points and 13 rebounds
6. Samuel Cricelli (200-F-85) of Surrey Heat - 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Kareem Maddox (202-F/C-89) of Newcastle E. - 20 points and 14 rebounds
8. Chavis Holmes (193-G-86) of Surrey Heat - 23 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Pavol Losonsky (203-F-88) of Leicester R. - 24 points and 7 rebounds
10. Michael Ojo (195-G-89) of Plymouth R. - 31 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
