We bring you last week's top performances from British players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Luol Deng (206-85, agency: Interperformances, college: Duke, currently plays in NBA). He led Chicago Bulls to a victory over the New Orleans Hornets (19-35) 96-87 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Deng was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 35 minutes on the court. The Chicago Bulls have 31-22 record this season. It's Deng's ninth year with the team. Deng has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.8ppg, 6.8rpg, 3.0apg, 2FGP: 45.5%, 3FGP: 31.2% and FT: 82.4% in the 48 games he played so far. Deng has a dual citizenship: British and Sudanese. He is currently a member of the British senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Daniel Clark (210-88, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Spain). Clark was the major contributor in an Asefa Estudiantes' victory against the 12th-ranked Unicaja Malaga (9-12) 82-68 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. He scored 13 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in a mere 17 minutes. Asefa Estudiantes Madrid (12-9) is placed eighth in the ACB. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Clark has been at the team for four years. This season Clark's overall stats are: 4.5ppg, 2.6rpg, 2FGP: 41.2%, 3FGP: 34.3% and FT: 81.3% in the 17 games. He is in the roster of the British senior national team.

   #3. The British player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, currently plays in Austria), who plays in the Austrian A Bundesliga. He could not help BC Vienna (16-5) in their last game. Despite Richards' very good performance the league leader BC Vienna lost 79-83 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) Gussing Knights. He had a double-double by scoring 33 points and getting 10 rebounds in 34 minutes. It was his first game for BC Vienna this season. Richards played for the British national team two years ago.

   #4. Guard Ben Gordon (188-83, college: Connecticut, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a Charlotte Bobcats' victory against the Orlando Magic (15-38) 105-92 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Gordon scored 10 points in 17 minutes. The Charlotte Bobcats have not so impressive 13-40 record this season. Gordon has very impressive stats this year: 12.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.2apg in the 48 games. He is a naturalized American. Gordon is also British national team player. Strangely he has never played in United Kingdom.

International forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, another player represented by Interperformances, college: Washington, currently plays in Adriatic League) helped his Serbian team Radnicki KG win their double overtime (!!!) game against the 11th-ranked Cibona (7-14) 105-101 in the Adriatic League last Monday. Bryan-Amaning scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Radnicki Kragujevac (13-8) is placed fourth in the Adriatic League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Bryan-Amaning's total stats this season are: 8.0ppg and 3.9rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Ghanian and British. Bryan-Amaning plays currently for the British national team.

   #6. Forward Dante Cunningham (203-87, college: Villanova, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Minnesota Timberwolves (19-31) in their game against the Utah Jazz (31-24) in the NBA. He scored 6 points in 20 minutes. The Minnesota Timberwolves lost 93-97 in Salt Lake City to the Utah Jazz. Cunningham has relatively good stats this year: 8.2ppg and 5.2rpg in the 49 games. He is a naturalized American. Cunningham is a former international player as he played for the British senior team five years ago. Apparently he has never played in United Kingdom.

International guard Mike Lenzly (189-81, college: Wofford, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German BBL was not able to secure a victory for s Oliver Baskets (11-12) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Lenzly's very good performance s Oliver Baskets was defeated 80-75 in Muenchen by the second-ranked Bayern. He was the top scorer with 16 points. Lenzly's total stats this season are: 7.0ppg, 3.8rpg and 2.0apg. He is a naturalized American. Lenzly is also British national team player. Interesting that he has never played in United Kingdom.

   #8. Forward Joel Freeland (208-87, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Portland Trail Blazers (25-29) in their game against the New Orleans Hornets (19-35) in the NBA. Freeland scored 6 points in 17 minutes. The Portland Trail Blazers were crushed 99-63 in New Orleans by the Hornets. It was Trail Blazers' sixth consecutive loss in a row. This year Freeland's total stats are: 2.4ppg and 2.2rpg in the 31 games. He plays currently for the British national team.

So now every game will be critical. Hesson belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #6. This season he has very high stats. Hesson averages: 19.1ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5bpg and 1.7spg. He is also in the roster of the British national team.

Power forward Alhaji Fullah (201-89, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Charleston So. win their game against the Presbyterian College (4-10) 72-54 in the NCAA last Tuesday. He scored 13 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks. The Charleston Southern University has a very good 10-3 conference record this season. There are only three games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Fullah has relatively solid stats: 15.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.5spg. He is a former U20 international player as four years ago he still played for the British national team.

   #11. Former international point guard Justin Robinson (187-87, another player represented by Two Points, college: Rider, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague couldn't help BC Kyiv (6-25) in their last game. Despite Robinson's very good performance the bottom-ranked BC Kyiv lost in an overtime 89-95 in Zaporozhye to the much higher-ranked (#4) Ferro-ZNTU. He recorded 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in 38 minutes. Robinson has reliable stats this year: 10.5ppg, 2.9rpg and 4.1apg in the 31 games. He used to play for the British national team two years ago.

   #12. International point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in Cyprus) helped Etha win their game against the sixth-ranked AEL 73-66 in the Cypriot Division A on Friday night. He scored 10 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Adegboye belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #5. He has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.5apg and 1.3spg. Adegboye is also in the roster of the British national team.

   #13. Former international power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, agency: Top Notch Sports, college: Bellarmine, currently plays in Japan), who plays in the Japanese BJ League couldn't help Okinawa GK (24-8) in their last game. Despite his good performance the first-placed Okinawa GK was edged 68-67 in Shimane by the second-ranked Magic in the Western group. Larkai was the second best scorer with 14 points. He also added 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. Larkai has averaged so far 8.8ppg and 5.4rpg in the 32 games. He used to play for the British national team five years ago.

   #14. International guard Devon Van Oostrum (190-93, currently plays in Spain) helped Caceres Basket win their game against the fourth-ranked Palencia Baloncesto 83-72 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. Van Oostrum scored 15 points and added 4 passes. He has averaged so far 9.5ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.2apg. Van Oostrum plays currently for the British national team.

   #15. Former international forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help FCM Ferentino in their game against LeGamberi Foods Forli in the Italian Lega2 (second division), despite his good performance on Sunday night. He recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in 26 minutes. But his team lost 97-102. Ekperigin is ranked third on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 9.6rpg. This year his other stats are: 13.6ppg and 1.3spg in the 18 games. Ekperigin is a naturalized American. He used to play for the British national team two years ago. However Ekperigin has never played in United Kingdom.

   #1. Byron Mullens (213-C-89, college: Ohio St., currently plays in NBA) led Charlotte Bobcats to a victory against the Orlando Magic (15-38) 105-92 in the NBA last Tuesday. Experienced Darren Phillip (201-F-78, college: Fairfield, currently plays in Argentina), who plays in the Argentinian LigaA could not help Union Progresista (10-26) in their last game on Friday. Despite Phillip's very good performance Union Progresista was defeated in an overtime 111-104 on the road by the second-ranked Penarol. He recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 13 rebounds. Phillip is currently first on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). This season he has very high stats. Phillip averages: 19.1ppg, 10.8rpg and 1.5apg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Phillip has never played in United Kingdom.

   #3. Keith Rendleman (203-F-90, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to help the NC-Wilmington (2-4) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the NC-Wilmington was defeated 92-86 in Williamsburg, VA by the College of William & Mary. Rendleman recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks. It was his first game for NC-Wilmington this season. There are only four games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Rendleman is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in NC-Wilmington's roster.

   #4. Shane Walker (208-F-87, college: Loyola, MD, currently plays in Holland), who plays in the Dutch Eredivisie was not able to secure a victory for M.Magixx (12-15) in their last game. Despite Walker's very good performance M.Magixx was badly defeated 98-82 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked (#4) Leeuwarden. He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 13 rebounds. Walker also added 3 blocks and 3 steals in 37 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was M.Magixx's eighth consecutive loss in a row. This year Walker has relatively solid stats: 15.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.5spg in the two games he played so far.

   #5. Olumide Oyedeji (210-C-81, currently plays in Japan), who plays in the Japanese JBL couldn't help Tochigi Brex (9-23) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Oyedeji's very good performance Tochigi Brex was defeated 75-69 in Kanagawa by the higher-ranked Toshiba Thunders (#4). He recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 11 rebounds. Oyedeji averaged so far 11.0ppg and 9.7rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Nigerian and British.

   #6. Oladapo Ayuba (198-F-86, college: UMKC, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in Sweden couldn't help Norrkoping Dolphins (1-4) in their last game. Despite Ayuba's good performance the fourth-placed Norrkoping Dolphins was crushed 93-68 in Samara by the leading Krasnie Krilya in the group K of EuroChallenge. He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Ayuba also added 5 rebounds in 20 minutes. Ayuba's stats this year are: 10.6ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.1apg in the 10 games. He is a naturalized American. However Ayuba has never played in United Kingdom.

   #7. Randall Hanke (211-F/C-84, college: Providence, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German BBL couldn't help LTi 46ers (4-18) in their last game. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked LTi 46ers was crushed 107-65 in Quakenbrueck by the much higher-ranked (#6) Artland Dragons. Hanke was the second best scorer with 14 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. Hanke has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 3.5rpg in the two games. He is a naturalized American. Hanke used to play for SAMG Verve Scottish Rocks in British league.

   #8. Paul Guede (195-G/F-87, agency: Interperformances, college: Portland St., currently plays in Germany) couldn't help BG Goettingen in their game against Duesseldorf Baskets in the German ProA (second division). Despite his good performance on Sunday night He recorded 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Guede has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.6apg.

   #9. Mikey Manghum (188-G, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Central Arkansas crushing them 94-65 in the NCAA in Tuesday night's game. He scored 11 points in 25 minutes. Manghum has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.6apg in the 22 games.

   #10. Lee Jeka (187-G-83, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Science City Jena's victory against one of league's weakest teams Kirchheim Knights 87-79 in the German ProA (second division) last Sunday. He recorded 14 points and added 6 passes. Jeka averaged so far 11.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 4.3apg. He is another player who holds two passports: British and Australian.

Hoops Club (Pepsi LBL) is about to sign 27-year old British center Byron Mullens (213-125kg-89, college: Ohio State) who played last time at Konyaspor Basketbol Kulubu in Turkey. In 9 BSL games he had 9.8ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.1apg last season. Mullens also played for another team Sioux Falls Skyforce in U.S. semi-pro league D-League that season where in 27 games he recorded 9.1ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.4apg. FOS Provence Basket (ProB) added to their roster 25-year old British-Jamaica forward Ryan Martin (206-102kg-91, college: Tenn Tech). He was tested at Banco di Srd in Italian Serie A. Martin just graduated from Tennessee Tech University and it is his first season as a pro. His team was regular season runner-up in OVC East Division.
