One Health Sharks Sheffield have one foot in the BBL Trophy final after a 74-60 victory over Cheshire Phoenix at the Northgate Arena on Sunday.

Mike Tuck (201-F-83, college: Loyola, MD) (pictured) led the way with 16 points for Atiba Lyons' side as five Sharks finished in double figures, and they will take a healthy 14-point lead into the second leg at the EIS on Friday evening.

Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders remain top of the BBL Championship table as they came from behind to win 76-72 at Glasgow Rocks on Sunday. Pavol Losonsky led the Riders with 22 point as Rob Paternostro's side overturned a 13 point deficit to stay one win clear of Newcastle Eagles.

Eagles kept up the pressure on the Riders with a 90-78 over the Surrey Heat at Surrey Sports Park on Sunday afternoon. A 33-point haul from Charles Smith was the leading scorer from the Eagles, while Frank Holmes's 20 points was the main shining light for the Heat.

Worcester Wolves picked up two wins over the weekend to keep their chances of a top four finish alive. Alex Owumi's 24 points helped them to an 83-79 victory at Durham Wildcats on Sunday which completed a winning weekend for Paul James' side following Friday's 99-81 home win against Surrey Heat. Kai Williams led the way on Friday with a 24 point haul.

Another side to taste victory twice over the weekend were London Lions who followed up Friday's 78-58 victory against Mersey Tigers with an 81-64 home win against Manchester Giants. Orlan Jackman led the way with 18 points on Friday while an impressive 31-point haul from Adrien Sturt gave a big crowd at Crystal Palace plenty to cheer about on Sunday.

A thrilling finish at the Plymouth Pavilions on Friday night saw UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders take control of third spot in the BBL Championship table. They held off a resilient fight-back from the Durham Wildcats to secure a 104-100 victory. Mike Ojo led all scorers in the game with an impressive 29 points for the Raiders, while Andrew Keister was the bright spot for the Wildcats as he netted 26 points.

Although they went down at Lions on Sunday, there was some joy for the Giants following a 94-78 home win against Cheshire Jets on Friday. Devan Bailey was the main man for the Giants as he bagged a game-high 22 points to lead all scorers in the contest, while Alif Bland and Chez Marks led the scoring for Cheshire with 21 points apiece.
