Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of British players who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Luol Deng (206-85, agency: Interperformances, college: Duke, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Chicago Bulls (32-25) in their last game. Despite Deng's very good performance the Chicago Bulls were edged 101-98 on the road by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was the second best scorer with 26 points. Deng also added 7 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 40 minutes on the court. It's Deng's ninth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Deng averages: 16.6ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.9apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 45.3%, 3FGP: 32.7% and FT: 82.1% in the 52 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: British and Sudanese. Deng is currently a member of the British senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Dante Cunningham (203-87, college: Villanova, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. Cunningham was not able to help the Minnesota Timberwolves (20-34) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Minnesota Timberwolves were badly defeated 127-111 in Oklahoma City by the Thunder. Cunningham was the second best scorer with 15 points in 25 minutes. It was Timberwolves' third consecutive loss in a row. It's Cunningham's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 8.0ppg, 5.1rpg, 2FGP: 46.1% and FT: 59.7% in the 53 games. Cunningham is a naturalized American. He played for the British national team in 2008. Strangely Cunningham has never played in United Kingdom.

The British player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Myles Hesson (195-90, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProB (third division). He was not able to secure a victory for Weissenhorn Youngstars (13-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Hesson's very good performance the second-placed Weissenhorn Youngstars was crushed 98-74 in Lich by the lower-ranked er Baeren (#5) in the Group South. He recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 15 rebounds. Hesson also added 2 blocks. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Hesson is ranked fifth on the list of the best rebounders in the league. This season he has very high stats. Hesson averages: 19.7ppg, 10.3rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5bpg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 54.4%, 3FGP: 27.4% and FT: 65.6%. He is also a member of the British senior national team.

   #4. Forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, also represented by Interperformances, college: Washington, currently plays in Adriatic League) led his Serbian team Radnicki KG to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked HKK Siroki WWin (7-15) 100-85 in the Adriatic League on Monday night. Bryan-Amaning recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Radnicki Kragujevac (14-8) is placed fourth in the Adriatic League. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Adriatic League Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Bryan-Amaning's overall stats this season are: 8.3ppg and 3.9rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Ghanian and British. Bryan-Amaning is also British national team player.

International guard Ben Gordon (188-83, college: Connecticut, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a Charlotte Bobcats' victory against the Orlando Magic (16-41) 105-92 in the NBA last Tuesday. Gordon scored 10 points. The Charlotte Bobcats have not so impressive 13-44 record this season. This year Gordon has very high stats. He averages: 12.2ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.2apg. Gordon is a naturalized American. He plays currently for the British national team. Apparently Gordon has never played in United Kingdom.

   #6. Guard Ben Mockford (188-89, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA couldn't help the St.Francis, NY (7-9) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the St.Francis, NY lost 65-73 in Emmitsburg, MD to the Mt.Saint Mary's University, MD. Mockford scored 29 points (!!!) in 32 minutes. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. This year Mockford has relatively solid stats: 12.2ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.2apg in the 50 games. He is a former U20 international player as he played for the British team four years ago.

Former international power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, currently plays in Austria) led BC Vienna to a victory over the sixth-ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (12-10) 81-65 in the Austrian A Bundesliga in Monday night's game. Richards was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 11 rebounds. BC Zepter Vienna (17-5) is placed first in the A Bundesliga. This season Richards has very high stats. He averages: 27.5ppg, 10.5rpg and 1.5apg. Richards used to play for the British national team two years ago.

   #8. Power forward Alhaji Fullah (201-89, currently studies in the States) helped Charleston So. win their game against the Presbyterian College (4-10) 72-54 in the NCAA on Tuesday night. He scored 13 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks. The Charleston Southern University has a very good 11-3 conference record this season. It was Charleston So.'s third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. Fullah has reliable stats this season: 15.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.5spg. He used to play for the British U20 national team back in 2009.

   #9. International point guard Andrew Lawrence (185-90, is currently at the American university), who plays in the NCAA couldn't help the Charleston (12-4) in their last game. Despite Lawrence's very good performance the Charleston (#2) was edged 55-52 at home by the Gardner-Webb University. He scored 16 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 39 minutes. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. Lawrence is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Charleston's roster. Lawrence averaged so far 15.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.5spg in the two games. He is also in the roster of the British national team.

Point guard Justin Robinson (187-87, another player represented by Two Points, college: Rider, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague couldn't help BC Kyiv (7-26) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Robinson's very good performance the bottom-ranked BC Kyiv was defeated 82-69 on their home court in Kyiv by the higher-ranked Kryvbasbasket (#10). He was the top scorer with 20 points. Robinson also added 5 passes. Robinson averaged so far 10.7ppg, 2.8rpg and 4.1apg. He is a former international player as two years ago he still played for the British senior national team.

   #11. International guard Kyle Johnson (195-88, college: LIU Brooklyn, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA couldn't help Sutor Montegranaro (6-14) in their last game. Despite Johnson's good performance Sutor Montegranaro was edged 89-87 in Cremona by the higher-ranked (#11) Vanoli. He scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 31 minutes. This year Johnson's overall stats are: 7.5ppg and 3.4rpg in the 20 games. He plays currently for the British national team.

   #12. Former international forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian Lega2 (second division) couldn't help FCM Ferentino (7-12) in their last game. Despite Ekperigin's good performance FCM Ferentino lost 71-79 on their home court in Ferentino to the leading Sigma Barcellona. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 11 rebounds in 29 minutes. Ekperigin belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #3 with 9.6rpg. He also averaged so far 13.4ppg and 1.2spg in the 19 games. Ekperigin is a naturalized American. He used to play for the British national team back in 2011. Interesting that Ekperigin has never played in United Kingdom.

   #13. Former U20 international forward Will Neighbour (208-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the UALR in their game against the Florida International University in the NCAA. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 26 minutes. His team lost 52-65. Neighbour's stats this year are: 13.4ppg and 1.2spg in the 19 games. He used to play for the British U20 national team three years ago.

   #14. Former international forward Ashley Hamilton (201-88, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA couldn't help the Loyola Mary (1-13) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Hamilton's good performance the Loyola Mary was edged 61-59 on their home court in Los Angeles, CA by the University of San Francisco. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Hamilton averaged so far 13.4ppg and 1.2spg. He used to play for the British national team back in 2011.

   #15. Former international power forward Tafari Toney (203-86, currently plays in France), who plays in the French ProB (second division) couldn't help Charleville-Mezieres (8-12) in their last game. Despite Toney's good performance Charleville-Mezieres lost 64-76 in Le Portel to the higher-ranked (#4) Le Portel. He scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 24 minutes. Toney averaged so far 12.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5spg in the 23 games. He is a naturalized American. Toney used to play for the British national team four years ago. He played also for Newcastle Eagles in British league.


The list of other players, who all have British passport but never been selected to any of British national teams:

   #1. Byron Mullens (213-C-89, college: Ohio St., currently plays in NBA) led Charlotte Bobcats to a victory against the Orlando Magic (16-41) 105-92 in the NBA last Tuesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 12 rebounds. The Charlotte Bobcats have not so impressive 13-44 record this season. Mullens has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 12.5ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.6apg. Mullens is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in United Kingdom.

   #2. Keith Rendleman (203-F-90, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the NC-Wilmington (2-5) in their last game. Despite Rendleman's very good performance the NC-Wilmington was edged 79-78 at home by the University of Delaware. He had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 12 rebounds. Rendleman also added 2 blocks in 32 minutes. It was NC-Wilmington's fourth consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Rendleman is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in NC-Wilmington's roster. He has very impressive stats this season: 19.7ppg, 10.3rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5bpg and 1.7spg in the 20 games he played so far.

   #3. Experienced Darren Phillip (201-F-78, college: Fairfield, currently plays in Argentina), who plays in the Argentinian LigaA was not able to help Union Progresista (10-28) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Union Progresista was crushed 90-66 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#3) Lanus. Phillip had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 11 rebounds in 34 minutes. It was Union Progresista's tenth consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Phillip is currently first on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). He has very impressive stats this year: 19.1ppg, 10.8rpg and 1.5apg in the 36 games. Phillip is a naturalized American. Apparently he has never played in United Kingdom.

   #4. Shane Walker (208-F-87, college: Loyola, MD, currently plays in Holland), who plays in the Dutch Eredivisie was not able to secure a victory for M.Magixx (12-15) in their last game. Despite his very good performance M.Magixx was badly defeated 98-82 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked (#4) Leeuwarden. Walker had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks and 3 steals in 37 minutes; not bad, considering it's only Walker's third season in pro basketball. It was M.Magixx's eighth consecutive loss in a row. Walker has reliable stats this year: 15.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.5spg in the two games.

   #5. Oladapo Ayuba (198-F-86, college: UMKC, currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan couldn't help Norrkoping Dolphins (20-2) in their last game. Despite Ayuba's good performance Norrkoping Dolphins lost 67-80 in Lulea to the lower-ranked (#8) LF Basket. He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 28 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Ayuba has been at the team for four years. Ayuba averaged so far 10.2ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.5apg in the 28 games. He is a naturalized American. Interesting that Ayuba has never played in United Kingdom.

   #6. Lee Jeka (187-G-83, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Science City Jena's victory against one of league's weakest teams Oettinger Rockets Gotha 97-87 in the German ProA (second division) in Saturday night's game. He scored 17 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 7 assists. Jeka averaged so far 12.0ppg, 2.8rpg and 4.4apg. He has a dual citizenship: British and Australian.

   #7. Paul Guede (195-G/F-87, agency: Interperformances, college: Portland St., currently plays in Germany) was the major contributor in a BG Goettingen's victory against the closely-ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg 85-79 in the German ProA (second division) on Saturday night. Guede scored 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His total stats this season are: 9.3ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.6apg.

   #8. Mikey Manghum (188-G, currently studies in the States) helped ORU win their game against the Central Arkansas crushing them 94-65 in the NCAA last Tuesday. He scored 11 points. Manghum averaged so far 13.4ppg and 1.2spg.

   #9. Olumide Oyedeji (210-C-81, currently plays in Japan) couldn't help Tochigi Brex in their game against Levanga Hokkaido Sapporo in the Japanese JBL. Oyedeji scored 9 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 24 minutes. His team lost 71-77. This year Oyedeji's total stats are: 9.9ppg and 9.3rpg in the eight games. He is another player who holds two passports: Nigerian and British.

   #10. Alex Murphy (185-PG-88, currently plays in Denmark) helped Naestved win their game against the league outsider Aalborg 70-58 in the Danish Ligaen on Saturday night. Murphy scored 13 points and added 5 assists. He is currently fifth on the list of best passers. Murphy has very reliable stats this season: 11.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 4.7apg and 1.2spg. He has both Canadian and British nationalities.

Barking Abbey completed a perfect season after defeating Charnwood 82-65 to win their first EABL Championship title since 2014. Daniel Akin (206-F-98) put in a dominant performance with 28 points, on 13-of-15 shooting, whilst adding 14 rebounds, two assists and two steals on his way to claiming the MVP award.
