The title race nears its conclusion, while the battle to make the Play-Offs looks set to go right down to the wire.

Leicester Riders are just one result away from defending their BBL Championship title after beating DBL Sharks Sheffield 80-71 live on BBC Sport.

The Riders used a strong second quarter to set a platform for victory and they held off a late surge from the Sharks for their 25th league win of the season.

Esh Group Eagles Newcastle delayed the party for at least another week as they extended their win streak over Glasgow Rocks to 20 games with a 103-86 victory.

Rahmon Fletcher (177-PG-88, college: Green Bay) netted a game-high 26 points in the win with Scott Martin and Deondre Parks also scoring 20+.

Bristol Flyers have taken control of eighth spot after they recorded a weekend double over Cheshire Phoenix, who saw their slim hopes officially ended. Andreas Kapoulas' side claimed a 91-78 win at home on Friday before following with an 83-89 success on the road two days later.

Aaron Cosby had 24 points in the home win with Hameed Ali leading a balanced attack on Sunday with 19 points, while Leslee Smith added 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Plymouth Raiders are still yet to secure their spot in the post-season and they were beaten 87-93 at home to Worcester Wolves. Trevor Setty top scored with 23 points in his side's 11th straight triumph with Jermel Kennedy adding 12 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

London Lions followed up a mid-week success over Newcastle with an 83-100 victory at Leeds Force as Navid Niktash netted 26 points in a strong finish.

Also, Sheffield bounced back from their loss on Friday with a 58-92 win away at Manchester Giants with Rashawn Rembert pouring in 27 points to help his side join the Wolves on an 18-12 record.
