BBL Championship

Glasgow Rocks 76-86 DBL Sharks Sheffield (28-27, 41-51, 65-66)

DBL Sharks Sheffield recorded their first win of the season after beating Glasgow Rocks in front of a large crowd at the Emirates Arena.

Atiba Lyons' side bounced back from a home loss to Surrey on Friday as they came out on top in an entertaining game that flowed back and forth.

Leading Scorers - Murray 21, Harrison 17, Billups 13 (Rocks) - McKnight 18, Tuck 17, Alexander 12 (Sharks)

Turning Point - The game went back and forth with Sheffield making a 13-0 start to the second before Glasgow went on a huge 16-0 run to open the third. However, the key run came in the fourth as the Sharks used a 10-2 burst to take control and there was no way back for Glasgow.

Key Stat - The Sharks gave up just six turnovers in the contest and put up 18 points from their opponents' turnovers, whilst keeping Glasgow to just seven free throw attempts as they made 13.

Game Hero (es) - Mackey McKnight had a quiet game on Friday, but starred with 18 points including 5-of-6 from inside the arc, whilst handing out six assists in the win. Martez Harrison looked to have swung momentum in Glasgow's favour with 11 straight in a 16-0 run, but it was not to be for the home side.
