Khimky - Lietuvos rytas 80-62

Khimky forced the decider in the quarterfinal series versus Lietuvos Rytas. The game was mostly controlled by Khimky. Lietuvos rytas was better in third quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khimky forced 19 Lietuvos rytas turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut, agency: Priority Sports) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Chris Quinn (188-83, college: Notre Dame, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five Khimky players scored in double figures. Swingman Arturas Jomantas (200-85) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Lithuanian guard Renaldas Seibutis (195-85) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Lokomotiv Kuban sealed the semifinal ticket handing Spartak Saint Petersburg the second straight defeat. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 25-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Lokomotiv made 27-of-30 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game, while Spartak St.Petersburg only scored four points from the stripe. 28 personal fouls committed by Spartak St.Petersburg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American-FYR Macedonian forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Maksim Sheleketo (204-87) contributed with 12 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Patrick Beverley (185-88, college: Arkansas) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Spartak St.Petersburg. Spartak St.Petersburg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Experienced U.S. Virgin Islands-Guyanese Frank Elegar (208-C-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for Enisey and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15. VTB United League is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 15 rounds left. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kazan. First ranked CSKA faced 3rd placed Unics Kazan. Guests from Moscow (12-1) defeated host Unics Kazan (10-3) 105-91. The game without a history.
