Derek Glasser (185-G-87, agency: Edge Sports, college: Arizona St.) inks with BC Kalev/Cramo for the upcoming season. The player moves from Israel.
According to David Pick Glasser, who was selected as a four-time All-America first-team guard by Jewish Sports Review, made Aliyah and will be fully considered an Israeli playing in BSL. The California resident was a three-year starter for ASU where he played in a school record 131 games (20 of them turnover-free) from 2006-2010 and shattered ASUs all-time assist record, posting 551 career assists.He is the all-time leading free throw shooter at ASU, making 295-of-352 free throws and is the first ASU player to total more than 1,000 career points (1,028) and 500 assists (551). During his senior season, Glasser averaged 10.1 points per game, where he led the conference in assists (4.8) and in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.16).
As a junior, Glasser was ASUs best player in the 2009 postseason, as he averaged 13.7 points in the Pac-10 Tournament and posted a career-high 22 points in the teams victory over Temple in the first-round of the NCAA tournament. In 2009, Glasser was named to the first-team PAC-10 All-Academic team.

There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in VTB United League. Eighth-ranked Kazakhstan Astana (9-15) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Russian Khimki (18-5) on Monday. The visitors from Khimki managed to secure only three-point victory 90-87. However their fans expected much easier game. Astana cut a 18-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game.
