Kalev/Cramo are looking for the options to strengthen their backcourt. They brought in Ty Abbott (190-G-88). The player will stay with the team until the end of September for a try-out period. The guard will start his pro career in Estonia if signs a full-time contract. He graduated from Arizona State University in 2011. Ty Abbott tallied 12.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in his senior season. Ty Abbott earned All-Pac 10 Honourable Mention in 2011. The guard was named into All-Pac 10 1st Team in 2010. He also made it into NABC Division I All-District 20 2nd Team in 2010. Ty Abbott had to deal with an injury and missed the last season.

Belarusian Artsiom Parakhouski (211-C-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Unics and that's him to receive a Player of the Week award for round 3. The 29-year old center had a double-double of 21 points and twelve rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Parma (#12, 0-2) with 16-point margin 89-73. Round 3 means everything may happen in VTB United League as the season just started. Estonia Kalev/Cramo (1-1) recorded a loss in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Russia Zenit (2-0) 89-73. The game without a history. Zenit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter.
