28-year old center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-C-84) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Spartak SP and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Azovmash (#8, 1-4) 81-76. It allowed Spartak SP to consolidate first place in the VTB United League . They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Spartak SP already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Mavrokefalidis had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Spartak SP and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Loukas Mavrokefalidis averages this season 17.0ppg and 5.6rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Aaron Cel (203-F-87) of PGE Turow. He is French-Polish forward in his 2nd season at PGE Turow. In the last game Cel recorded impressive double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he lead PGE Turow to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked BC Astana (#3, 3-2) 93-66. PGE Turow's 10th position in has not changed. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory PGE Turow managed to get this year. Cel is well-known at PGE Turow and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Aliaksandr Kudrautsau (190-SG-80) of Tsmoki-Minsk (#10). Kudrautsau got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for five assists. Despite Kudrautsau's great performance Tsmoki-Minsk lost 106-110in overtime to slightly higher-ranked Neptunas (#9, 1-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tsmoki-Minsk can only dream about fighting for top spots in . They have awful season losing so far all 5 games. Too bad for Kudrautsau he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Kudrautsau has individually a great season in VTB United League. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Martynas Mazeika (191-G-85) of Neptunas - 33 points and 7 rebounds
5. Manny Harris (196-G-89) of Azovmash - 22 points and 11 rebounds
6. Viktor Khryapa (203-F-82) of CSKA - 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Zoran Planinic (198-G-82) of Khimky - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Kostas Kaimakoglou (206-C/F-83) of Unics - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Lynn Greer (186-PG-79) of Azovmash - 25 points and 8 assists
10. Tywain McKee (188-PG-86) of Triumph - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
