Krasnie Krilya registered the fourth win in VTB League season. They overcame Spartak in Saint Petersburg tonight. Chester Simmons (196-G-82, college: Washington) delivered 22 points and 7 rebounds to pace the Samara team. The hosts suffered the first loss at the tournament this season.
Spartak led throughout the first half. The home team posted a 12:10 lead after the starting quarter. The Saint Petersburg outfit ensured a 26:21 halftime lead. But Krasnie Krilya gradually took over. They narrowed the deficit at 2-point mark into the fourth frame. Dmitry Kulagin (197-F-92) drained a late jumper in regulation to tie things up at 51 sending the game into overtime. Chester Simmons accounted for 7 points in the extra period as Krasnie Krilya escaped with a tough win at the end. Jeremiah Massey (202-F-82, college: Kansas St.) accounted for 14 points, while Dmitry Kulagin posted 7 points for the visitors. Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-C-84) answered with 12 points for Spartak. Zack Wright (195-G-85, college: Central Mo.) and Josh Carter (200-F-88, college: Texas A&M) netted 11 points each in the loss.

Belarusian Vitali Liutych (198-SG-92) had a very impressive game in the last round for Kalev/Cramo and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 25.
