American-Greek Nick Calathes (198-PG-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Lokomotiv and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 23-year old playmaker got a double-double of 21 points and thirteen assists, while his team beat Neptunas (#9, 1-6) 95-83. Lokomotiv is placed at 3rd position in VTB United League . They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Lokomotiv will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Calathes had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Lokomotiv's top player in his first season with the team. University of Florida graduate has very impressive stats this year. Calathes is in league's top in points (8th best: 15.1ppg), assists (3rd best: 5.4apg) and averages solid 58.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 31-year old American center D'or Fischer (211-C-81) of BC Donetsk. Fischer impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as BC Donetsk was edged in overtime by slightly lower-ranked PGE Turow (#9, 2-5) 83-81. This loss caused BC Donetsk to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Fischer is a newcomer at BC Donetsk and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was another Lokomotiv's star - American Derrick Brown (203-F-87). Brown scored 22 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was another key player of Lokomotiv, helping his team with a 95-83 win against the lower-ranked Neptunas (#9, 1-6). Lokomotiv needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. The season just started for Brown as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Donatas Zavackas (203-F-80) of VEF Riga - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Miroslav Raduljica (213-C-88) of Azovmash - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Lynn Greer (186-PG-79) of Azovmash - 12 points and 10 assists
7. Aleks Maric (211-C-84) of Lokomotiv - 8 points and 10 rebounds
8. Tremmell Darden (194-G/F-81) of Zalgiris - 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Michael Taylor (188-G-86) of CEZ Nymburk - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Aaron Cel (203-F-87) of PGE Turow - 14 points and 11 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
